How about a DSM part review channel?
dsm4eva, thanks for the suggestion.
A couple days ago ohmygawd suggested a "Parts Deals" forum where people could post good prices they got and where. I thought it was cool and countered with maybe a "Parts Deals and Parts Review" forum, since cheap is not always good.
So your idea fits right in there too.
So, what do you guys think about a "Parts - Deals and Reviews" forum? Sounds helpful to me and might serve to spread some of the Tech Talk activity around. ???

sounds like an excellent idea. I could contribute alot to it seeing that i own 3 dsms that are all pretty modded, and have 5 or so close friends in similar situations. Addicted to DSMs.

Hey another "Yorker". 4npower is from York too.
BTW, overboosted, the url in your sig is referring to a file which does not exist. Please remove or replace with a valid url. Happy to help if you need it.. thanks.

Nice pic. It is best not to link direct off someones site (it is not "polite" - but in this case its Gready's site so who cares :) ), but more importantly, any time they change their site your link could be broken. If you like, you can link directly to the url of the image below. I'll host it for you. I tried to clean it up a bit too.

Parts review is a great idea, since I am just starting out.
Also, I like Ted's turbo better, not so big...

You're right OB, I resized after I got rid of the distracting background and that "bit mapped" it.

As far as part reviews go, I have an entire website setup already.

Pete,
I understand that you have the review site, but the info there is limited and a site like this represents a totally different aspect toward interactivity. I would imagine the two sites could be complementary where any new information could be cut/pasted onto the reviews.dsm.org site.
Just a thought.
I like the review idea. I think every one would use it quite a bit.
Thanks guys for helping form the site!
Next revision will likely involve a reorganization of the forums, probably the addition of a couple new forums and removal or modifcation of the underutilized ones.
I like the idea we have discussed of a "Parts - Deals and Reviews" section and will likely add it.
DSM4eva is correct Pete, DSMtalk.com's appeal is certainly its interactivity. I endorse the idea of sharing info with your site, should there be anything here you find worthy of utilizing of course. I am a strong supporter of Club DSM and don't know of any site with a ClubDSM redirect that I don't like. I would be happy to create with you a complementary relationship between the sites be it reciprocal linking, or something more complex than that.
I'd like to discuss this with you via e-mail if you are willing.

I like the parts review idea. I checked out the other parts review site mentioned above, but I couldn't find enough information.
I think with this site being as dyanmic as it is, there would be more varied and up to date information.
By the way for those looking to post pictures such as a signature like mine, you can host them on www.zing.com (http://www.zing.com) for free. That's what I use.
