Well, I haven't done much to my Spyder in a while because I was thinking about selling it a while back, but I don't have the funds yet to buy anything new. Anyway, yesterday I was looking in my engine (I heard some rattling that was bothering me) and I was looking at my intake. For those who have the 4G64 you'll know that the intake kind of just hangs, you have to support it some way. Well, I decided to play around with the positioning of it and directed it up a little bit more and and towards the center of the front of the car. I didn't think it would make much of a difference, but it really did. I think it somehow increased airflow because it was a significant increase in power. This may be basic knowledge to you guys, but it was a surprise to me as to how much of a difference it would be. Just a head's up.

Fastplant,
just make sure you keep the filter as far away from the
the exhaust manifold is possible. A heatshield around the filter
will help. If you really want to have fun, take a look at my
intake piping which will get rid of the restrictive pipe and resonators to the throttle body. You have to hack the
stock rubber pipe somewhat, but it will help with airflow.

Hmmm, I might do that, I haven't had any problems with heat just yet, but I'm going to be building something to better hold the intake pipe, right now it's suspended with zip ties, and it worries me a bit, hehe. Thanks, your site is pretty informative, I may have to use some of your ideas, thanks.
