GOING HOME,FROM A HARD DAY AT WORK,IT WAS ABOUT 11:00 P.M.
I WAS AT A NORMAL OR TOO SLOW SPEED,BUT
IT WAS A TUESDAY,THE DAY ALL THE HONDA GUYS
GO OUT TO THE STREET LLOKING FOR RACE.
WELL THIS THREE GUYS ,TWO CIVICS AND ONE INTEGRA, WAITED UNTIL I GOT NEAR THEM,I DIDNT
WANT TO PRESS MY GAS,BUT WHAT THE HELL I LOVE IT . SO THEY STARTED TO PULL OFF ,AND I WENT FOR THEM,PASS THE CIVICS,AND GOT SIDE WITH THE INTEGRA.THE LIGHT GOT US,THIS GUY WITH THE INTEGRA OPENED THE HOOD DO SOMETHING TO HIS CAR,AND WAIT FOR THE LIGHT TO TURNS GREEN.
THE LIGHT TURNS,I GOT ABOUT TWO CARS ON
HIM, BUT OUT OF NOWERE CAME THIS CAR,PASSES THE INTEGRA AND IT WAS SIDE BY SIDE WITH ME
I LOOK AT THE CAR, AND UNBELIVABLE IT WAS THIS UGLY 83 TOYOTA COROLLA 1.8.
AT THE NEXT LIGHT I TURN RIGHT(I WAS GOING HOME)
BUT WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS UNDER THE THE HOOD OF THAT COROLLA? NEVER FOUND THIS COROLLA,BUT WHEN A FOUND HIM I WILL ASK .

some of the old corollas had a strait 6,guttless as hell off the line but once they got up near 60mph they take off ,and they can screem,

The only reason why a corolla might have a I-6 is if the guy made a supra engine swap, those corollas never came with a I-6 from the factory.

COROLLA with a 6?? Never they came like that only with 1.8 4s. Back in PR my cusins use to build them, they get very fast 9s 8s.....Most starlets at teh track that dont have a Rotor are running these 1.8 engines. As for street they are no good becuase they a Pos rear. My Younger cousin built a street corrolla that ran 10.9s on NOS. Really fast of the line and nice top end but on a curvy stretch no good. But all in all they are very easy to make track worthy. Also they fit starion turbo engines in them.
