As far as i know, all the synchros that ever go into ur car will be OEM. I was going to have my tranny redone, there's TRE and BM trannsmissions that seem to be very good. The main problem with our trannies is the aluminum shift rails and forks. They bend and then ur synchros will get fucked. TRE has a list of parts that u can single order and match that will suit any whim u desire. They also sell full build trannies and OPTIONAL synchro setups.. like a dual cone for 4th and so on, but im sure u have the typical 2nd or 3rd grinds..my 2nd was CASHED:(

Anywho, do a search or look at the links page on the main menu of this site... you should be fine:cool:

BM Tranny is another option.

The rails and rail ends are steel, just the forks are aluminum. They don't really bend, but snap... :)

this is my second tranny, the first one grinded into second until the tranny casing cracked, now this one that i got from a junk yard is grinding into third. so it;s the shift rails and fork taht's the problem not the synchros? i was thinking of getting the double synchro that they have at TRE

If you clutch disengages all the way, then it is (most likely) the synchro. Check also the shifting cables bracket that's bolt onto the tranny and make sure it's on tight and doesn't move as you shift.
