I dont think it realy was a GT heres why,my friend and I pulled up to the lights,next to me was some fella in a grey Probe GT,it was loud ,I figured it was maybe a bit faster than my mildly moded 91 rs auto n/t,when the light turned green we both screeched away,he short shifted and i got up beside him until I got to 5000 in second I started to pull away ,just as he started to catch up he missed a shift and grinded to a sudden blurr beside me,seee yaaaa,
at the next set of lights he caught up to me and asked if my car was turbo I said no is yours?,with that he dumped the clutch and pulled away in a cloud of tire smoke,it sure sounded like it was,if it was they are not very fast at all,just the other day I pulled in for gas at perto can,some guy pumped my gas,and asked to check the oil,as i was pullin away he yelled I did'nt belive you it was not a turbo,you had me,but ill get ya next time plymouth boy,

yeh thats the one ,and I was takin it easy,the car had gone 110,000 km since its last timmin belt change,and it was in poor shape,very poor,I had an apointment for it to be changed a few days later. it also had a cut down the one side,were i guess one time I was in a bit of a hurry and got the cover on a little crooked,$200 here in Canada to have the belts changed (both of them) plus a check up on evry thing else,every thing else is ok,except for a 2 small of an altenator 45 amp( its bin on there since I got it),no wonder my 600+ watt sterio kept killin my battery and engine at the car shows.

It couldn't have been a GT, because any year GT, 1G or 2G would be a decent match for a turbo DSM. I used to own a 2G Probe GT, and it was pretty fast. But I love woopin' on them in my new Talon :D

I remember reading a comparison of the newer Probe GT 24v vs. 2g gst vs. integ gsr. The eclipse won the drag section by like a half sec. if I remember correctly. The probe was about the same as the integra at about a 15.7.
