Yes indeedy. Driving down to Pennsylvania to pick up some tires I bought off the trader, I am cruising along and out of nowwhere I here a faint buzzing. First thing through my mind is that mine and if it is whats wrong?? But low and behold up pulls next to me on Route 15 (the new part) a Cavalier GT....and yes it does have the Type R sticker on the back. Crooked no less. It has the required bumblebee exhaust and tinted glass with windshield and rear glass stickers all over included one that said Niche even though I am sure Niche never made wheel covers with fake rotors. On top of it all, the passenger side airbag was removed and 3 gauges were in its place. No it wasn't a gauge holder but instead the gauges were held in place bu DUCK TAPE. Yes the grey stuff.

Well he decided he wanted to go sooo I obliged and ate him 3 times in a row. On the second run I even game him an AWD Wag as I sat on his bumber. I love my car :)

Hi Sean,
Crooked Type R sticker on a Chevy Cav... I love it. That guy deserves a rice citation for sure :) You're from Rachacha? Ever make it down to Honeyoe Lake? I go up there every year. Nice area.

Yupper. My home town is between Seneca and Cayuga lakes, about 25 minutes north of Ithaca.

I heard if you have a crooked Type R sticker, it adds an easy 10hp. :D

Sean I'll probably be passing right by you... on my next trip to Honeyoe we are stopping at a friend's farm in the Smithville Flats area.

Hehe, put rice boy in his place :D

By the way, the Cavalier never had a GT model. Are you thinking of the Z24 model?
The GT is the Sunfire's top model. Same motor in the GT and the Z24...

No they never had a GT but there are alot of cavaliers with the GT stickers. Now I did happen to see a Cavalier SS. Now I believe this was a real deal. Had grpound effects on it like I had never see before. And the SS was embossed in the body panel like the Z24 is embossed int he rear panels. Also I asked the guy about it and he said it was done by SLP Performance. The same company that does the Pontiac Firehawk and the SS Camaros.

So, like, is the "SS" worth anything other than looks? Could it really do anything, or was it "Factory" Uncle Bens like the IROC Camaro's?

Ever see a V-TEC ford Aspire i have.
other than the five foot wide "v-tec inside" sticker on the hood it has the unmistakable 1 winsheald wiper and rainbow fog lights.
i asked the guy if he new what v-tec ment and he sead ya and gave me this your an idiot look. o well you learn somthin new each day. BTW 1 wiper adds wind resistance for cars that are to fast (only for the pro's). :D

Tell me where this guy lives so I can go to his house and personally slap this moron. He's defaming Cavaliers everywhere (like Chevy doesn't do a good enough job on their own). If you rice an American car, you deserve an even bigger whap than those who rice an Asian car.

FTR, Chevy *did* make a Cavalier GT package, but it was only dealer installed, so that part may be legit. It's kinda rare, too.

Cav SS is legit, too. Stupid idea, but legit. (Now, if they'd put out a 2nd or 3rd gen Cav (88-90 or 91-94) with a 4.3 V6, big disc all around, better cowl induction, and large wheels with short tires, then that would have been a nice SS package, but I digress) IIRC the SS package was good for maybe 20 hp, if that. (swoon  )
