My friend has a '92 i think probe turbo, he's got a greddy exhaust and that's it, he's running 8psi and he killed my a$$ easy. Those little things are fast. Of course i got an NT, but still. it's true... TURBO PROBES DO EXIST! (sad but true)

My friend had a '89 turbo PGT and it was pretty quick. Never took it to the track though but I'm pretty sure it would do at least mid-high 15's.
I raced one a long time ago, it had at least an exhaust and he was hanging door to door with me untill I shifted to 3rd and I started to walk on him, by the time I was doing about 95mph he was about 1 1/2 cars behind me. That car really surprised me!
Oh yeah, I think the 1G PGT has the same engine as the mustang SVO.

I remember the prior gen probe (till 91?) did come with a turbo engine. Back then when HKS was relatively new to the US there was an article in Turbo magazine (I probably still have it in my attic if anyone wants me to dig it up) where they added an HKS cat back, EVC, boost gauge and some other HK$ crap. The car ended up much quicker than stock. I remember when I was shopping for a car back then, I was actually considering a probe turbo, but when the new model came out, although much nicer looking, it didn't come w/ a turbo.

It's true that the second gen probes didn't come with a turbo, but they will run the same 1/4 as fast as the 1st gen PGT's because of the V6. I know a guy with a 2nd gen PGT with a few mods, the V6 makes for a really smooth and FAST ride. I'm sure his car would waste mine.

Yeah, the 6s were quick, but not fast. A friend of mine had a brand spanking new 96/97? 6 cyl. Probe GT, talked a lot, laughed at my car b/c it was old w/ fading paint (90 AWD) so one day we both happened to be driving on the same road ;)
A nice long winding empty 2 lane road w/ the next light far away. I still had a stock turbo then. W/ MBC at 16psi, 2.5 turbo-back and HKS powerflow, I wouldn't even classify what happened as a kill b/c in a matter of seconds he was many car lengths behind, and in no time was so far behind he gave up. He stopped laughing at my car after that.

As a matter of fact I seen a somewhat modified probe last night at a stop light. We all know the outcome of this story. 5-6 car lengths by 2nd gear, pretty cool guy though. I think the old SVO mustang is the same basic block as the probe but the(correct me if I'm wrong) mustang is rated at 210 Hp stock were as the probe is 160 or so. So there is some difference between the two motors.

The Probe GT V6 that 90LaserRST (my brother :)) is talking about is actually really fast; he's done several mods to it, include porting work on the manifold and head, ram air, etc. I'm not sure what else. He estimates he's over 200 hp now, but he hasn't tested his 1/4 mile time yet. By the way I'm not putting down your cars, compared to my car (2.2L 4cyl N/A) my brother's car is SOOOO fast.
