Hey guys, I got a kill story for you. About 2 weeks ago on a Saturday night I am driving through a "racer populated" road when I see a black BMW M3 pacing me at around 40 mph. I had only an air filter and full 3" exhaust, with free mods... I still had the stock BOV on my 95 holding me at 12 PSI. A light about 1000 feet in front of us turns red and we race to get the red light. Well we start revving and then... GREEN!!!! I launch my AWD on the stock clutch, chirping the new back tires. I pull in front to what looks like a car and a half or 2 cars on him. Well I was in the same lane as some slow poker who was from the red light that we took off at... he turned left onto the street and I staged in his lane(not on purpose... duh :)) At 5000 rpm in third gear I had to let off the gas to get over to the middle lane. The M3 moved over to the far left lane on the three lane road, so I now had room. But because I let off the gas to check to see if the M3 was going to move over so we could keep racing, by the time I hit the gas he was half a car back on me. We went neck and neck to about 90 mph I think, and that was it. At 12 PSI with my stock BOV I was able to take him. M3? Anyone knwo what the 1/4 mile times are on those things? Or the hp? Fun run tho, definately.
