First kill w/big 16g

(98GST)i just got my big 16g on my 98 GST and i have been extremely happy with the power output and response to the mod. I know that it isnt a worthy story but here it goes, i was on my way home when i was just cruising(i dont want to push my car at all because i want to take care of it) when i look behind me and this green ****vic(civic) is tail gating me im thinking to my self dont floor it, dont floor it but of course i did anyways and put, lets see about 8 car lenths on him and just taking it to about 5RPM didnt even go half way on the gas. So i let him catch up again and he's right next to my window again and he downshifts and i do the same but i keep it enough so that im right beside him and make him think that he is keeping up with me(dont you like doing that?) Once we dodge all traffic and it is clear in front of us, we both downshift, about 3secs later and 10 car lenths away i junk the douce. That was the first time i ever gave it some gas since i got it about 3 days ago and man do i love the power.

Thats a good one. So how much horsepower do you think you added with that 16G?

to tell you the truth i dont know since i also got a fuel pump, and also i got the exhaust manifold ported. Maybe around 290.

Very nice kill Frank. i'm getting my 16g when spring comes around. i can't wait.
i was going to go with just porting out my 14b and get the 2g manifold ported but i decided i'll wait till spring and save up for a 16g.

When I got my ported 16G, I was alittle dissappointed in the power. It just wasn't what I had expected. Then I got the fuel pump installed and it seemed to make a big difference. Overall its the best mod so far, and worth the cost!

Good kill, killer! I got a 16g in my 90 GSX and the best thing about it was making toast out of the rich guys in their Vette's and GS400's. I swear one day when I used to live in NY some guy in a BMW 8 series (12 cyl.) tried to cut my off and a half block later he got a good view of my taillights. The only problem now is my 16G's shot(low oil pressure) so while he's cruisin in his Bavarian Bimmer, I'm puttin' along trying to raise enough capital for a 20G and a nice large front mount intercooler. Anyway congrats on your kill, but make sure you let your car idle before shutdown, and always prime your oil lines if you have low oil pressure after you change your oil. -Andrew-
