Well im on my way across town, going up an upramp towards the city. This black porsche 944 turbo with (at a minimum but i suspect more) a very free flow *loud* exhaust. we pulled up to a light before the ramp and start to take off. well this car proceeded to launch past me with acceleration i have yet to see in any other street car. i felt so incredibly stupid. this car just destroyed me.. it was a massacre, then he proceeded to do it again.. this time i was half paying attention, trying to press the accelerator even though i knew the out come.. the thought "something is F*&*ED up here" kept going through my mind but my car was pulling hard. well, im still in utter shock on what happened. this was a year ago. damn that car was a sleeper though

Good call man.. sorry for the mix up

I don't think they ever made a 928 turbo. There were 911 turbo's & 944 turbos but the 928 was always a NA v8. What shape was it? Big whale tail? Big bulging fender flares?

oh im so sorry did i say 928.. i meant 944.. but they did make a 928 turbo (fairly sure anyways).. last model year i believe.. the only one with a genuine porsche powerplant i think the 928S. if it wasnt turbo i remember a porsche fanatic telling me it was the only 928 worth anything. he said the other years were audi powered and were pos's.. not to say audi's suck as they are the father of awd

nope, they never made a 928 turbo. but the 928 was the first water-cooled porsche. they stopped production in 95' and the hp was up to 345hp on the gts.

I have both an 87 944 Turbo and a 92 TSI. The 86-87 944 turbos come stock with a conservative 217 hp and 243 ft/lbs tq, weight about 3000lbs. As easily as a dsm can be modified to make power, the 944 turbo can be modified to make much more. Off the line, the talon is faster, at highway speeds, there is no way my talon will keep up with the 944.

92TSI Up Int Pipe, MBC 17PSI, 2.5 Turbo Back, 95 ExM, Fuel Pump.
