Ok i live about 3 minutes from Sunrise Mitsu. I didnt go to the last one. But from what I heard everyone who shows up gets a trophy. THere are a bunch of lame cars I heard and people. Like a people there claim there cars are putting out major hp and not actually doing anything. they have no mods to back up these numbers

Anything that Sunrise does seems to suck. Back in the day when I didn't know how to fix things and where to go I went there for a few things and the place sucks. High prices, horrible service. And the head mechanic I spoke to we got into an argument because he thought that you didn't have to machine the fly wheel when replacing the clutch. And that guy in the parts and "Performance" place is nice but doesen't know much about anything.

I'll probably be there anyway, just to see some fellow DSMers. And Bull*** with the guys. Usually on Fridays at Bellmore there are about 5-7 of us. Bill Marino is usually there too.

This past Friday we were there until about 11:00pm.

I went to the Sunrise Mitsubishi Show (oakdale, Long island, NY) on Sunday 9-10-00. There were 11 Eclipses there 1 talon & the rest included a vr4 3000gt (this guy stated he was pushing 500+ hp...doubtful), integras, honda accord & civics, 2 supras. Probably about 30 cars total. Only NYC Club DSM Member I met was Mike with the 95 gs-t. Was anyone else there? They had a stereo sound off which was on the crappy side. I did have to laugh at the 2001 spyder eclipse they had out front a v6 with that awful alloy gas cap & yellow 17 inch rims, lots of yellow mitsubishi stickers...they were asking $32,500!!!!!!! Needless to say I wasn't impressed.

I was at the car show, it kinda blew. I was actually only there to pick up some parts. It was mostly bs Hondas and a few VW's, I talked to a few of the NYCCDSM guys, then I left. I did see the 2001 Spyder with a big yellow SOHC Inside sticker (haha). And some stupid DJ stuck the mic in my face and stsrted asking me what I bought at the parts store, but I wasnt in the mood. Oh well, Maybe itll be better next time.

Yeah, I was there. It seemed like there were more Supras than DSM's. I was looking for the TurboGirl license plate, but I didn't see it. I took a few pictures of the DSMs I saw, here they are:
