Mike,

What did you do to go from 11.91 to 11.65 ? Is the car full weight ?

11.2@122.8 , 11.0@126 both cars can be seen in http://www.orl.dsm.org. But the difference is that one has stock bottom end with over 114,000 and NEVER being rebuilt (92 talon which ran 11.2) 7:8 pistons NOT 8:5.

Blitz,
the only thing different is a newly rebuilt tranny ( from
John Sheperd ) HKS Cams, and RR welded VC. The car is not
" full " weight, I have removed the AC, it has an aluminum
front bumper, and I removed the insulation under the carpet.
It still has a full interior, minus all the factory seat
belts, which I removed after the Roll cage and 5 point
harness's went in.

I've got a 92 gsx with the following mods (some done, a few in progress).
2.5" pressbent dp, custom 3" mandrel dp back, no cat
k&n, wickedly hacked mas
custom mbc set at 14lbs
walbro fp with rewire
relocated battery to trunk
stock suspension, just a front strut bar (waste of money)
ported 95 ex-mani, 1g o2 housing, wastegate, turbo ex-man
starion fmic with 2.5" mandrel pipes
removed a/c system, spoiler, rear seats, and a lot of other little stuff (roughly 75 lbs lighter than stock)
act2100 clutch with wickedly shortened shifter
removed balance shafts, stiff motor mounts
pirelli p6000's (205/55/h rated) on 95 spiral rims

Granted that times may vary quite a bit and some of the mods don't help 1/4 ET's at all....What can I expect when I finish up these mods. Thanks in advance.

I ran a 12.2@117 mph with my old set up. Since then i've built a stroker and put a new turbo/nitrous combo in my car. Hoping to run me some 10's this fall after I reconfigure my fuel system and tune some of the bugs out.My mod list when I ran 12.2 are as follows(remember, i live in Texas where cars are like 2-3 tenths slower)
3"Atr turbo back exaust
K&N air filter Cold air piping
VPC/S-AFC
Profec B boost controller
550cc Injectors
Adj.FPR,Billet fuel rail
HKS "mild cams"(264's)
Ported 95 manifold
Extude Honed intake manifold
Alamo front mount and 2.5 inter. piping w/HKS elbow
Type R greddy BOV
Ported and clipped 20G
NOS nitrous kit-50 shot(not used at the track.)
Fluidyne radiator
HKS drop in fuel pump
No back seat and no bumpers
4 bolt rear end

P.S. 12.2 was run off of NOS and bitch shifting on the 1-2 as to preserve my tranny(1.94 60'). I prefer to think of myself as a street racer so I really never took my car to the track.

Okay Mods
1.) bought car for $1,500 at an auto auction
2.) replaced halfshafts and have customized STOCK clutch, had STOCK flywheel lightened, resurfaced, and balanced
3.) bought K&N for $30, manual boost controller for $80, bought boost and air fuel gauges for 60 and 50, bought gauge pod for $40 and adjustable front strut bar for $30, bought breather filter for $7
These are all of my functional mods
My best time came at the ID Drag wars this weekend
14.323@98.08mph at 15psi of boost (I normally run 16) on 100 octane pump gas on GOODYEAR EAGLE GT-II tires (the insurance company put those on instead of my Nittos when my car was nearly trashed by being sideswiped by a truck since they are the original equipment tires on the car)

Is 14.323@98.08 fast for a stock DSM? I previously ran a 14.6@98.8 mph on 93 octane and mismatched street tires tires (my girlfriend had blown one of the nittos out, so I tossed a goodyear on)
Oh wait, and the car is a 1990 Plymouth laser RS Front Wheel Drive
-Keith
