How do you rate your local Mitsu or Chrysler dealership? It can be for service, parts, general attitude, whatever you like. :)

Mitsu in Madison Wisconsin ROCKS!
They hook me up with parts, and their main mechanic allways hooks me up when i need help with something.
Came to my house 30 min away to help drop my 1gina2g in.
Renner Mitsu in Milwaukee Wisconsin is also great, bought my 6 bolt block from them (120k mile core for 100 bucks) and they also have a good club dsm discount. about 15% or so.

In Connecticut there are two dealerships I know of (I THINK there are 3 dealerships in total- I may be wrong on that one).
The Shelton Mitsubishi, which is about 2 miles from my house, I would rate a 5 on a scale from 1-10 (10 highest). The parts department is the only thing they are good for (they will screw you royally in buying a car in a heartbeat). Their parts are expensive, however, they are semi- nice to their customers.
The one in Branford (I think) is better. I'd give them a 7 out of 10, they're more laid back since they have a smaller inventory, and make you feel more at home (owning a Mitsubishi and all).
Conicelli I have had great, prompt service with except one time. The operator was the biggest A-hole I have ever talked to. He insisted I was talking about a leaky master cylinder when I was talking about my ABS unit- and I had to tell him "It's the SILVER BOX about six inches in FRONT of the BAT-TER-Y on the PASS-EN-GER side of the car!" Then he replied "Oh it's $1700, bye" and hung up.
I like Conicelli but from now on, I will only deal with them if I have my part number handy.

I did the same thing once, called them and said I needed parts for a talon. The guy on the phone tried to give me the usual runaround. Then I was like " Oh wait, I'm thinking of my wife's car, I need parts for an eclipse, same year." I then proceeded to order parts for my wife's car. :D

My old man is the head mechanic at the Mitshu dealership in Brookpark Ohio, he is a hell of a mechanic. If you ever need any seroius work done you can trust him, he's helped me completey restore my dsm and make it run 10 reliable timiming belts to complete rebuilds, he has worked there for 20 years, so he has worked on them since they came out, and he loves cars too and has restored muscle cars since he was a kid. So if you need any work done ask for Gib.

The Glendale Mitsubishi here in Phoenix has a decent parts dept that aknowledges the ClubDSM_SW discount (25%). Their service dept used to be great, they had a service mgr named Mike who could get warranty companys to cover almost anything but then they got rid of him....
Now, I would say their parts dept is just as good as always but the service dept is fully satanic. The kid they got to replace Mike got my warranty voided by telling them over the phone that the car was lowered. (focker)

I just bought an EVO from my local dealer, Burlington Mitsubishi, in NJ. I get all my hard to find parts from a local jeep dealer though. They always get what I need, except a rear axle for a 91tsi that they wanted close to $500 dollars for.

The local mitsu dealer wont' give me a discount for squat on parts and rarely has the miscellaneous sundries in stock...

Last time the Mitsu dearership did my timing belt they did not get the tensioner right on the accessory belts. Well, one belt took out many and left me stranded out in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday night. Then they had the balls to tell me it wasn't their fault? The car had only 100 miles after the belt changes. Bastards. Finally after the theats of a lawsuit I got it fixed but in doing so the gouged my hood. I was about to start a mass shooting at the dealership when they agreed to paint the hood. :chair:

Although I am closer to Lees Summit Mitsubishi, I frequent Overland Park Mitsubishi for everything I need. The customer service is excellant, there aren't 10 salesmen in the parking lot rushing over to sell you a car, and parking is always open to the service and parts department. It has always been in and out.

The mitsu dealer near me sucks plain and simple. I tried to order tranny parts from them but they didn't even know how to look them up. However, the jeep dealer down the road from my house was very helpful. They even set me up with a discount, but thats probably because I dropped over a grand on trans parts:(

The Mitsu dealer is about 5 minutes away from me if I dont hit rush hour traffic. He always cuts me a 15% deal. He knows me by name ( likely because I come in every couple of days to get something new ) and knows his stuff. He has even hooked me up with some of his contacts in other automotive fields.
San Bernardino Mitsubishi is at least a 8.5
Their downfall is they have some kids working there in parts who dont know a damned thing, I just tell them to get Chris and he is always more then happy to help me out.

Wanna know what a joke the Mitsu dealership is in Presque Maine? They wouldnt work on my car once when I bought it in cause they said I altered it by putting a turbo in a nonturbo. This was after I should them the original window stick. They do no real engine work. The only thing they will work on is suspension, oil changes, tire changing, and other small jobs. The freaking parts lady doesnt even know what a tie rod is..shes like, " Can you point it out in this picture?". Only way she can find a part is by the VIN and doing a search and that alone takes 20 minutes. So dont knock me on some of my post! Haha..I am very deprived living up here. Eclipse turbos are so rare up here that half the people think mine is a new kind of car. Lmao.

My local dealer, O'Brien Kia/Mitsubishi is awesome. I know a service writer and the parts manager pretty well. They are both awesome guys. The service writer has his own shop where he does anything from turbo installs, FMIC installs, exhausts, FMIC pipes, etc. He is an awesome dude. The parts manager has an 11 second DSM that he brings to all of our events and is really cool as well. Not to mention they stock more parts than any other dealership Ive dealt with, and they are cheaper than all the dealerships I've ever contacted. They are also frequent visitors to my local board, and we get a 15% discount at both the dealership and their private shop if we are a Paid Member to our local board (which I am :D). Great people, great dealership, I have yet to meet one asshole down there.

Third. Their prices are absurd, but I went a couple times to get parts I just needed right now. But, having been warned already by Satan stories here and elsewhere, I just brought printouts from CAPS with the part numbers I needed and never ever mentioned anything about Eagle. I second that. My local dealership techs are complete dumbasses. I went to them oneday with my tsi to find out what this terrible vibration was in the front end when I turn. They drove it and put it up on the lift. I was out there watching them look at it and they told me it was my viscouse link in my transmission that controlled the LSD in the front. Now if you know anything about these cars you know they didnt come with LSD in the front. I looked at him funny and he started talking to me like I didnt know a thing about my own car and attempted to explain to me what a viscouse cuplink was and how it controlled my LSD. Not being a assh***, but I told him to think of another reason because that one was not right. To make a long story short they told me I would need a whole new transmission and transfer case. Come to find out the only thing that was wrong with it is that the cv axle popped out of the transmission and was vibrating on it. I tapped it back in with a hammer and all is well. The bad thing about this is that I really think they thought they were right and not just tring to get a transmission job.

Dodge in Halifax N.S. = Satan
Brought my 2G Awd in to replace rear wheel bearings. They cut off an axle without my permission. Tried to charge me $910.00+taxes! Never even gave me a call to tell me what was up. When I called wondering if my car was done they told me. I had to Wait for 2 months for the axle from Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi gave me the axle for $287.00 taxes in!
Dodge in Saint John N.B. = Satan
Still waiting for the transfer case oil leak recall as is my friend too. Ordered sway bar endlinks for $37.50 a piece. Once I went to pay for them and pulled out a Visa, they went up to $57.50 a piece. Superseeded number was the excuse. Now they are $74.50 a piece. I ordered a marker light, they tried to give me a 1G marker. One year ago in January by friend bought a 2G AWD and brought it in to check for recalls. He never had the lower balljoints replaced, but the dealership said they did the recall (in 30mins). I still have the factory Lower Balljoints, he / I replaced!
Mitsubishi in Saint John is Tri-Star motors. Mercedes and Mistsubshi under the same roof. They have nothing on record for anything before 2000, nor will they make a call! I call mitsubishi Canada and get a run around about the sway bar endlinks. They are more than dodge, for a part that has the DSM logo's all over the bag from Dodge.
Now everything I order or buy for my car is aftermarket or machined from scratch if possible!!

desmoines mitsubishi, here in iowa. ( i could of called it DSM mitsubishi, but there might of been a mix up or confusion.) isn't a bad place at all, you can all the new and old like the early 2000 eclipse and evos that they have. even the evo 9s. but there prices seem to be fair, $80.00 for a new intake hose that sits on the turbo, 25.00 for a new dipstick. is that bad?
oh i also bought my 01 maibu from there buy here pay here department a year ago and i only have a year left to pay on it. not a bad place at all.

BELL MITSUBISHI f*cking sucking from the parts people to the sale people. i once had order a 2gen manifold for my friends car,so two 2 days later i go there to pick it up and its a 1gen manifold. i tell me that the part is wrong, i even give him the part number for the 2gen manifold. he tells me that there is only one part number and that i didnt know anything. my girlfriends takes her evo back to the because the pass/side window will not go down for some reason so she goes to the dealer to get it fixed and picks it up later that day. now at the service desk they tell her that they did an free oil change under service. so on the way home about 30 MIN RIDE. she starts to hear something so she pull over and calls me. i show up pop the hood and start the car, then i look under the the car only to seee oil all over the road. we call a flatbed. i look at the oil filter and its loose. now back at the dealer. the dealer said the reason the oil filter come loose was because the car had mods on it. the only mod is a buschur exhaust, nothing else. and for that reason we where out of lucky. long story short the dealer put on a new motor for free because i ask them then why do they a sell buschur racing evo's at the dealership.

Is there even a such thing as a "DSM" dealership anymore?
And the only Mits. dealer local to me is run by a bunch of arrogant cocks. Wouldn't buy my last breath of fresh air from those dumbasses.
Damn skippy, mine would probably ask for your left testicle before they gave you the breath as well. I went in there and asked when they'd get the lowest form of an Evo in and the guy said they only make the MR option. Queers:puke: .

Sothern California Mitsubishi Dealerships:
Alhambra Mitsubishi - AVOID like the hiv. I brought my first Eclipse in there for warranty work many years ago. The fuel pump wouldn't turn on. They "diagnosed" it as a fuel pump relay. Waited for the relay, they installed it and nothing. So, it just sat there for days. I got so pissed off that I actually walked in there with my tools, pulled off the back seat and rewired the fuel pump with an aux relay, switch and fuse. I turned it on right in front of their shop with all of their mechanics, drove by and said "What was so hard about that? It took me 10 minutes."
Family/Duarte/Freeway Mitsubishi (Duarte, CA): - ???
This place has gone under and changed ownership so many times, there are constantly new faces around. They've twice completely overhauled their staff. They still have EVO's in stock. :) Couldn't really accurately give an opinion.
Torrance Mitsubishi - Great service department. It is huge. This is the largest Mitsubishi dealership service department I've seen. Service manager was awesome to deal with, easy for warranty work, and the mechanics know what they're doing.

I give a 4 out of 10 (being the highest) for the Harbour Pointe Lincoln/Mercury/Mitsubishi (wierd I know -- should be dodge/chrysler) Their timing belt was lower priced than I thought it was going to be. Balance belt was $5 than Napa, which was good. The guy was an A-Hole, but got my parts and shooed me out.
Walkers Renton Mitsubishi -- I've heard goods and bads. I'd rate them 8 out of 10, they have a good service department and a technician that knows DSMs. They were promptly helpful and were very nice. Their buyer inspections were very well done and gone through. Rumor has it they have closed down now:(

11-11-2007, 09:32 AM
I had to order a shifter cable bracket that bolts to the transmission about a year ago, before I really got into DSM's. Somehow the bracket broke and the guy who owned the car before me thought a crappy tack welding job to the bracket would be sufficient. They didn't have the bracket on hand, it took a little over a week to get it. Harrisonburg Mitsubishi in Virginia was helpful, but nothing special.

Everyone else I talk to is a freaking idiot. The parts guy didn't know what a throttle cable was! I had to explain it and after I was done he said 130 bucks. I bought it from JNZ tuning for 23 dollars! They wanted 1,600 to fix fronts struts and lower control arm. I did it all myself for maybe 500 bucks, along with 2 new tie rods. Its combined with a kia dealership and IMO that just makes it worse.

Didn't have a catagory for suckey, suckey, suck, suckey, suck, suck so I just rated them poor. Both the Chrysler and the Mitsu dealer parts people displayed very little knowledge of DSM's. The Dodge guy tried to sell me parts for a 2.2 Laser turbo. The Mitsu dealer was no better and also had a piss poor attitude. I've been to every Mitsu dealer in the Las Vegas valley. The parts counter guys are cool but the service departments suck.
I took my DSM to the closest dealer when I first bought it because I didn't have a service manual yet nor any DSM experience. I had some leaks, a timing belt in need of replacement and a broken exhaust manifold stud. I was talked into buying the "40K service". Long story short; they failed to do nearly everything I checked on the "service" list, left nuts loose on the exhaust manifold and a week later my car wouldn't turn over because of dirty battery terminals - which were on the "service". I later found loose and missing bolts on the power steering pump they had removed to replace the timing belt. I wrote a letter to the service manager and Mitsubishi and didn't get the courtesy of a reply.
I was forced to go back because of OBD-II smog issues but thankfully I resolved this problem myself with the help of DSMlink. What they charged me to get a passing smog certificate amounts to extortion.

I always look up the part in CAPS first and print out the order. I take that to the parts counter and usually get a surprised look from the counter guy when I hand him the order form. Probably explains why I don't have any complaints for the parts dept. I don't give them any excuse to screw up.

I took my car in to the closest Mitsubishi dealership (still far away) last week for my timing belt change, and they did not have the parts. Wasted a day. They then told me to come Thursday (yesterday, or 1 week from initial date) so I took the car back up.
Everything went smooth; until I noticed the dent in my passenger side door (which does not open anymore without bending the crap out of my fender) and the fact that they left 2 of the front-driver side wheel nuts lose. Now my studs are trashed as well.

Okay the one (and only time i will ever go to) Mountain Mitsubishi in Tacoma, the guy tried to tell me that I can't order parts for my Laser, because they are different from an Eclipse!! Just change the first two letters in the VIN from a 1P to 4A and you have yourself an Eclipse! And then he said the DSMers were going to become like the Starion guys! (I love Starions, but we shouldn't be lumped into the same category!). I won't go to the ones in Olympia, because I work in a wrecking yard, some guy got a fuel pump for a 2G talon, and he returned it saying it was bad. I hooked it up to a battery and it pumped good, and I told him that his mechanic is an idiot, and if he knew anything about DSMs is that the connections to the fuel pump go out. went to fox hills Chrysler in plymouth, gave this old parts guy my vin to make things quicker. he proceeds to tell me that they never made a 95 turbo model talon and that my car has the crappy 1.8. but hey what do i know i'm only the owner of a 95 tsi right?
I had a similar experience. I was looking for a part and the local dealership, Skyland Mitsubishi in Asheville, and the parts guy said that the vin on my car must be wrong, because it didn't show in his system. Then he proceeded to tell me that without the vin, he could not order the part at all.:really: I mean, come on it was t-stat.
If you looking at buying a a new/used car from them though, it's different; i've bought 2 cars from them over the years and can say they work real hard to get you into the car you want.

Respected colleagues, excuse what not on a theme. I can not find a good script of a bulletin board in any way and a script of a site of acquaintances.
Like these quite good: Elite-Board 1.2 and JOKER Board. Commercial Version 2 but them anywhere I can not find, only for 70$ sell.
Everywhere on the Internet archives of these boards without passwords! Terribly from them to buy. In general normal it is not possible to find a script of a site of acquaintances, all with errors....
The analogue of a script as is necessary at services sex of acquaintances (http://www.24lux.ru) http://www.24lux.ru/ Only that was without errors and free.
Can know where it is possible to download scripts free of charge? Write please if know.

Crap, they screwed up my repair so bad. I had timing problems, they replaced the belts and stuff, put everything back together, ran for 11 miles, crapped out. Went back to the guy who fixed it, and says there is a balance shaft missing, well thanks for putting that in, and for the 700 dollar 11 miles worth repair.:chair:

They are pretty good in Tampa
I have checked out two of the three local dealerships in my area. Both have left my with a bad taste in my mouth. They have both been next to no hope and very unwilling to even talk. I'm hoping my next experience with these dealerships or the third local spot will be better.

My local dealership is Courts Dogde. I literally just got my shit packed (w/o a courtesy reach around) by a $70 bill for 4 bolts and one nut to bolt the o2 elbow onto my new 16g I just got in. Looks like the install will have to wait another week while I wait on those bolts. Half the time I go in there they send me to a junkyard because everything seems to be discontinued for the 1g. What a headache. You got to love a DSM.
