Last Tuesday I purchased front and rear Akebono Ceramic brake pads to go with my new Brembo slotted/dimpled rotors.

I received an email notification at 8:56am Tuesday stating that they had received my payment and I would receive an email confirmation & tracking number when the product was shipped.
As of Monday, I had not received any emails about the status of my order and decided to check out my order history which is accessible from their site. I find out that my account has no history of the order  , so I decide to call their customer service number. I had to leave a message with a 3rd party and wait for a call back. About 4:00pm I received a call back saying that they had indeed received my order and they assured me it would be shipped out the next morning (Tuesday). She also informed me I would receive my tracking number at that time. As of now, I have received nothing  I don't understand how it takes 8 days to process and send out 2 sets of brake pads. I understand IF they are backordered, but at least they could send me some type of notification.
I am not happy with their customer service or the time it takes to process and ship an order. But they sure did take my money quick!

dont worry about it i ordered from them couple parts
like gaskets and turbo bolts... it took the bolts
a week to arrive and the gaskets it took 2 weeks
and half .... you'll get the item but it does take them
quite awhile to ship it out... on a sidenote, they probably
backorder those items you ordered like my gaskets.

I dealt with Justin directly and must say it was the best customer service I have recieved so far. He price matched parts I had in question AND held a part the was low on stock for 3 days until I placed my order.
I highly recommend these guys. I live in Hawaii and my order was here in less than a week. I dont know if you purchased online, but I usually make my order thru the phone with all vendors.
Sorry to hear you haven't gotten your parts.

me and a couple of my dsm buddies have ordered some things from them and we all expect to receive our stuff in a few weeks as they do take awhile to ship stuff. it has happened to all of us here. so we only go there when we have no choice, other than that we only give our money to RRE since its closer and they rule. never had any problems with them the 5 yrs ive personally been doin business with them.

UPDATE:
I called again today to find out where my parts were because I hadn't heard anything. I received a call saying that my parts came in yesterday (apparently they were backordered from the manufacturer) and they would be shipped out today. They expected a Tuesday or Wednesday delivery. I inquired about next day shipping, as I really want to get the brakes/rotors installed. They told me that they would pick up the cost of next day air and I will have my parts tomorrow!
I understand that there are problems from time to time, but like most DSM'rs all I need is a little correspondence from the company. I am very pleased that DSMParts.com decided to pay for the overnight shipping of my brake pads and informed them that they have kept a customer that would have otherwised shopped elsewhere.
Conclusion: I would recommend DSMParts.com to any other DSM'r because they "stepped up" and made things right by me, the customer.

i guess it all depends if the part is pretty rare and they have to backorder
it from the manufacturer ... mostly the rare oem parts takes a while but i
wouldnt hold it against them being they're one of the few shops left that
still has oem parts for our dsms!!

I ordered some things from them back in december and I got my order pretty quick, less than a week after placing it. I'd recommend these guys again.

I have ordered parts for my SRT-4 and my DSM and they all came as expected. One item was on backorder, but I was notified prior to placing my order so it was no problem.

My complaint about dsm parts.com is that their costumer service number isnt even their number. You speak to some ppl who dont know shit about cars and cant answer specific question; they are aparently not even in the same building. Also, 1 of the reps hung up on me like 3 times when i was complaining about not receiving a refund when they had cancelled the order a week prior. He said it took long and i said why would it take long when it takes 2 minutes to go on paypal and send the money back and he just hung up on me like 3 times.

Strange, I have had nothing but great transactions with these guys. They stand behind their product and have had great customer service in the times I have ordered from them. I guess you can't please everyone.

You never will. I've had great service from them in the past, and a fast transaction.
