Yes guys, im sick of my piece of shit RS..and Im trading it in for a GSX preferrably a 95..I dont want crankwalk problems, and from what I understand, 96-99 has it..My question is:

Is there a web page with a FAQ reguarding parts/upgrades for a GSX?

Is there anything I should know, or watch out for when looking for one?

What should my first mods be to make this thing move? BOV? Exhaust? FMIC?

Anything else?

How much power can I get on stock internals?
How much boost can I get from a stock turbo?
What do I need to upgrade when upgrading a Turbo (possibly a 14b)?

Any help will be appreciated guys! Im happy to be joining the turbo crowd..

Unfortunately 95's are affected by crankwalk as well.

Get a 92-93GSX/TSI. They will out perform the 2nd Gens for less money. For 8K you can grab a used 1st G with some mods already done. I love the 98' GSX. I just don't have that kinda cash. Crank Walk sucks. You may get lucky. Not all motors have this problem. Only if that little valve gets stuck open. Some engineer should be proud....

If your getting a 2g turbo, just be prepared to do an engine swap for a 6-bolt in the long run. Crankwalk sucks period & you never know if your gonna get it or not.

yeah, 170k miles on my motor and no crankwalk yet! (95 GST).

I think you have a vary small chance of getting CW, but there is always a chance. don't plan on getting a new motor, just don't be surprised if one day it happens.
