hi guys, new here and would love some advice

i just recently got my tranny rebuilt, my car sat outside in the winter with the tanny off while it was getting rebuilt. but here is the problem, i had been experiancing bad clutch chatter just after the tranny went back in and when coming home one night i put it in fist to go up my driveway and the car went up the driveway by itself with the clutch peddle full engauged.

i checked the slave and blead the clutch to see if that would help but the car will not start normally, i have to start the car in reverse due the my alarm safty feature and when i turn the key with tthe clutch peddle down full the car wants to jump(cuz i have to start it in gear)

i have no ideas what could be the problem....i know it obviously has something to do with the cluch...but i dont know what

any thoughts you guys might have are thanked and appreciated

thanks!

Maybe your clutch fork is bent or broken. Have someone press on the clutch pedal while you watch the slave cylinder rod pushing on the fork. It should be obvious if something is loose inside.

Another thing that could happen is one of the clutch disc springs is out of place, thus putting the car "in gear" because there's always friction. That happened to a friend of mine, but he wasn't even able to push on the clutch pedal!

what "MonoTalonAwd" said,i've seen bent forks have that effect, also its possible that the clutch is frozen to the pressure plate from sitting too long outside and does not want to release now.

I have the same problem... I've been driving my car all summer, went to back it out of the driveway, got it into reverse alright, but then it wouldn't come out of reverse, and then i couldn't get it into any gear. I had to start it in gear to get it back in the garage, and it would jump forward even with the clutch all the way in.

Boosted TSi, did you find out if it was the fork?
