Clutch or Tranny

I'm looking to buy another 95 GSX and have talked to the guy who owns it, but he has been having a problem getting into gear when the car is heated up... He says it goes into all gears fine until about 10 minutes of driving, then it is really hard, if not impossible to go into gear, but with 10 minutes of cool-down with the car off, it seems to be fine again for a while... Does this sound like Clutch, Tranny, Master cylender, What????? :confused: i dont want to drive 500 miles to take a guess.... thanks

It could be any of those really. Find out if certain gears are more difficult to engage once the car is hot. See if it is easier to shift if you pump the clutch, if it is, then it is the hydraulic system at fault. Don't settle for junk either. Look for signs of fluid leakage, and CHECK OUT the car you are looking to buy. Really look at it for about 20 minutes at least.
