 I have a 99 gst i got it dyno tuned at 15lbs i made 280whp and also got it dyno'd at 18lbs and made 308whp but currently the only drivetrain mods i have are act 2100 clutch kit, act flywheel and the lsd insert. i have been driving my car at 20-24 lbs of boost, for about 3 and a half months.. and my clutch pedal when my car is being driven, for 1 continous hour get really stiff, also it kind of sticks to the floor than it would pop back up. My engagment point is kind of high but i dont think that has any thing to do with this. But when the car gets cool, lets say i let it sit for about two hours and than start it up and drive it again it will be back to normal. also when it gets stiff and i give gas to speed up it will slip but my clutch is pretty new only 6k. Could this lead to my trans that went out yesterday. I was driving in second gear, and i got on it a little.. herd a noise, so i slowed down and got a red light so i was like umm let see wat it could be. sounded like my intercooler piping was comming off..but at the light i hit it in first gear to redline pulled amazing as always i tryed to put it in second and clank clank clank sounded like rod knock kind of. but yea im heart broken. my cuzin lived a mile away so i pushed it with a budy to her house. went there the next day drained the fluid, put my finger in drain plug area and puled out chunks of medal. my car still remains there till i get a new trans. so how much power can a stock fwd tranys hold?

Well it all depends on how you drive the car, how you launch, and if you are getting wheel hop at all, wheel hop will kill the difs. If you can get rid of the wheel hop and learn how to launch the car just right it will last awhile, it's all driver skill.
I have broken my fair share of trannys, I used to grenade fwd trannys back in the day all the time. I have learned to launch more conceritive, and shift alittle softer.

^ ditto..do DSM require you to reset your clutch release pint, put the car in N w/ it off and push the pedal all the ay to the floor let it loose, then w/ your toe pull back on teh pedal until t clicks..then drive...i know mustangs, and camaros are like that

I have the poly urathane motor mount inserts with the lsd insert after that never experienced wheel hop unless it was wet. that was just once i really dont launch my car off the line. I have a fwd so if i run someone it will be off a roll. I going this thurs. to pick up a trans off a 95gst for 3 bills hopefully everything goes well that way i can say god willing my car will be running next week.

2gs have a pressure release in the master cylinders you cannot adjsut the pedal past 1/2 way before you will cover this up and it will build up pressure as you use it (wiht no way to release it) the reason it goes back to "normal" is because pressure is bled slowely from the system over a period of time. this is also why it slips, as it builds up pressure it starts to move the clutch plate away from the flywheel this puts all kinds of bad strain on the bottom end.
as for it not coming back up thta's not related to what i stated above, the way you can adjust the engaugement point is to buy the extended slave rod and put the master cyl rod adjustment all the way to the bottom and then adjust it from there
