I've heard this mentioned a few times, but never any in depth explanation as to what can be used in a 1g tranny from the 2g tranny. I'm contemplating a build up soon and was wondering if anyone knew what the 2g tranny had that could be used as an upgrade in the 1g tranny?

I've heard the tranny's are identical internally, but i dont' knwo from experience
of course the gear ratios might be different, and the syncros vary in type and quality

There are some parts that are transferable and some that are not. Call John (I think that is his name) at TRE and they will tell you what will fit and what won't.

the shift forks will work for sure(i have them in mine) i believe that the double synchros and associated hardware come from a 2g, but not positive. if your looking for a not too expensive upgrade the 2g shift forks are the way to go. the standard evo shift forks come with nylon pads that unless replaced w/ brass wear out very quickly. and i agree with the above post ask jon or ming at tre, they will know for sure.
