This might be a dumb quesion, but I want my engine compartment to be a little more colorful and I was curious how you can make your area look nice? I already read the threat about the valve cover, but can you buy colored hoses? etc.?

You can also get a universal braided stainless steel hose sleeving kit that covers your existing hoses (upper radiator, vacuum, fuel, heater core, etc.). Places like Pep Boys, Kragen and Auto Zone want beween $39-$49 for the kit, but I got mine on eBay for about $25 shipped for the exact same kit. The hose ends are metal (except for the smallest ones) and come in aluminum, blue and red. The name on the one I got is Magnabraid II Pro-Hex. It's a hell of a lot less expensive than going to real braided stainless steel hoses, but looks just as good.

the only problem with those kits is, that the red and blue fade. Red becomes pink eventually, the blue just looks much lighter. I had one of those kits on my 1.8 years ago, but took it off when the red turned to a really fugly pink.

I went with the aluminum color, that way you can paint them to match your color scheme. I'm eventually going to paint the ends metallic purple.
