Didn't see any info on him so I'll post my experience.
I bought the 2g race kit (12.2" X 1.1") kit from Todd a while back. Shipping was very quick and he even called me to double check my wheel offset to make sure the wider brakes would fit.

When I got around to install the kit their was a problem with the hat not being machined enough and it didn't fit. I called him at 4PM on a Friday to let him know what was up. He was leaving for Pikes Peak to do some testing the next day so he machined out a set right then and drove around until he found a UPS driver and had them overnighted to my house. He even included new hardware at NO cost and sent a paid return slip for me as well.

Once I was just about done I noticed that the SS lines didn't fit and called him. We spent about 30min. on the phone comparing part diameters and found the problem. He offered to send me the correct lines at no additional cost even though I had hacked up the set that didn't fit. I passed as I had already hacked up the lines I had and got them to fit by grinding them down a little.

I noticed a slight shimmy after a while from the brakes and then another 30min. phone call solved the problem. I was just getting a little pad transfer on the rotors, nothing a little hard braking couldn't fix. He again offered me a replacement with a different pad but I felt he ha done enough and I was happy.

So, in the end this was the best experience with a vendor I have ever had. I expect problems to arise from time to time with custom parts like this. The way he delt with it and his time he spent with me on the phone were beyond good customer service.

Did I mention he drove around on a Friday night to overnight parts to some DSM idiot when he had real race cars to do testing with?

Thanks for the kind words.

By point:

1..The hats were my fault as I put things together in a hurry.
2. The hoses were a problem from Goodridge and prompted my return of about 8 sets- thanks. I hope there are not others out there with these 2" short parts...
3. Pad transfer seems to be a bit of an issue on the Q compounds. Of late the new BP10 cures the problem. Looking at the data provided a few weeks ago I feel it's the better pad honestly. (let me know and I'll send you a set)

I had great results with Todd and his product as well. The setup has been on my car for well over a year now and I have nothing but good things to say like the original poster.

I did have issues with pad material tranfering to the rotor. I thought I warped my rotors during break in for some reason. I didn't even call Todd though because I searched the net for the symptoms and cleaned the rotors with a scotchbrite pad. It comes back every now and then though so maybe I should pony up for some new pads too.

Like the plague I tell ya.

Actually I have not been in the DSM stuff much lately as most of my time has been working the MINI kits and the new 14" kits for the CTS and Impala.

...and that 15" kit for the Lightning. I really gotta finish that one. But I also really need a buyer to take it when done!

I've seen your stuff on the MINI boards. Seriously considering getting a kit, but the DSM needs as much money as I can throw at it....

Thanks for the good review.

Gen 2.
Harley truck really. Won't fit stock Lightning wheels.

I'm looking for a beta tester you might say. I'll offer a modest discount to get one out the door in final form. Currently I have parts in the works but underwriting the cost is a killer. I can't do it just to prove that I can. This one's costly.

I got the Gen1 kits up and available. Haven't sold one in about two years. Got two sets of cores here collecting dust.

I also purchased a 2G 12.2" x 1.1" kit from Todd. He had a pair of six piston slimline calipers sitting on the shelf that someone had returned. He offered them to me for no additional charge. He told me if I didn't like them he would send me the four pistons instead. Well of coarse I went with the six pistons and loved them. Todd is an excellent example of how to treat customers on a more personal level. He seems to make every customer happy by doing what ever it takes. Thank you for the excellent service.
