i ordered club mitsubishis FMIC kit on may 23rd 2005, got my IC core on june 10th, never got piping, cant get ahold of them, they ignore my calls, my emails and PMs on their forums, terrible experience, i recommend STAYING FAR AWAY from them as possible, now i have to mfr my own piping for this ic kit and dont even know where to start with doing that, just curious as to see if anyone else had this problem with them? and if so what did you do about it?

damn man, sorry to hear about you getting the shaft. I am not familiar with that intercooler but normally with a little fab skill piping isn't all that hard to make if you want something basic. If anything just make up some moch pipes of mild steel and have them made up of aluminum.

best of luck bud.

Ive had a problem before with them selling fake Type S Bov's. I didn't find out till after i sent the money. When i found out i asked for a return and the guy agreed. A month later and 300 emails from me to him unanswered, I get this crummy knock-off BOV.
I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN.

I am sorry to hear about you guys not getting what you want, I'd just like to say thanks for putting this out there so other people can have a heads up.

but I did want to see if there is anyone out there who did business with them and it DID work out for them.

I was looking into buying their FMIC from them because its $525 shipped, and thats a hell of a deal, so I came on here to look them up. Then found this and was like HELL NO i am not doing business with anyone like this.

BUt some business are so busy with meeting demand they dont know how to deal with simple issues like returning emails. They have a process that they follow, and when somehing doesnt go according to their process they crumble.

So anyone with anything good to say?

Just to let you guys know, use guys here at clubmitsubishi are having issues with these kits not coming with the piping too. Its not Admins fault, they've screwed him to. The kits gonna be on our black list if the company doesnt resolve the issues. And admin is a good guy, hes not out there to intentionally screw ppl over. Heres the link

Well isn't that the risk when you put your name out there as a middle man on someone else's products?

Yea there is a risk. Nice guys finish last i guess. I feel more pressure on the issue would get things resolved, not finger pointing. Maybe a lagit company may pick up the thread and offer custom piping, The bigger these threads grow the better i feel. Need to let companys know were not here to get pushed over. Honestly if i had the time, tools and money id hook everyone up with this piping but pressing the issue is our best weapon. We're all here for the same reason and thats to help and grow the DSM communities. Im going out personally and trying to find shops here locally (texas) that would madrel bend the pipes for a reasonable cost. Looks promising so far. Also talking to Dusty at mvpmotorsports.com about a good solution for the issue. actions speak louder than words. We would do far better if all of us did this, meaning to solicite (sell) our need to shops out there to help the piping issue. i would rather buy a IC and piping seperate for $600 than a kit for $1000 but thats just me. okay im off my soap box. if anyone can help the issue or has an idea post it or Email Me Here (jwalker@netcommander.com). L8R ppl. Viva la DSM !

It's a good thing if you are trying to resolve the issue but in the mean time if you have not informed the people (customers) waiting then they are left in the dark thinking you are trying to run off with there money. Most people are pretty understanding when you explain the situation before hand, instead of months later getting a response. I would inform people on your site when ordering that there may be some type of back order so that way they know before hand.

You can always fab up the piping yourself, or have a shop do it, but you paid for a kit, thats bullshit.

Thanks for the heads up bro, I was about one week away from ordering one of thier FMIC's.

if its not tyson's fault, then why does he deleat the threads over there, instead of posting the reason that nobody is getting what they paid for?

its been over 2 1/2 months since i ordered my kit, i finally gave up with dsmparts since they sold it to me and bought it from clubmitsubishi, they have agreed to refund my money and let me return this IC, since its useless without piping and i'm not putting money out for piping out of pocket.... I have been emailing, IMing and CALLING this asshole from club mitsubishi, b/c now i am out to make his life a living hell, i'm going to be going on vacation in late august to nortern california, i'm thinking of detouring out to oregon to find this guy and beat my intercooler piping and wasted time out of him...... unless someone here is close enough to find him for me (i have his address and phone #)

Don't you guys think that $480 for FMIC KIT is a little too good to be true (not to mention that they only have a picture of a core and a couple of mounting brackets). I think that the misconception comes form the fact it says FMIC KIT.

YBReal210

not in the least bit, it says includes piping and couplers, and the first time i talked to tyson he stated that the piping would ship a few days later and i would receive it separately

In that case, I can definately understand your misconception.

I just took a look at their site and I didnt find where it says it includes the piping.

Heres a quote from their site
"This kit includes one intercooler with sizes stated above and shown in the pictures, four mounting brackets as shown in the picture (two large, two small), 5 couplings and four bolts for the threaded inserts in the intercooler."

yes, you see that part, but when u go to the checkout option it says at the top select 1g or 2g, and i quote "Intercooler kit and piping $480 + $45 shipping.
Your total will be $525 with shipping.
Make sure to chose 1g or 2g intercooler below."

Wow, just wow. I've never knew DSM shops operated off of porches with flowered carpets--both of which probably belong to this kid's parents.

In time, many of you will realize that the cheapest isn't always the best.

How many times are people going to have this drilled into their skulls? With all the resources on this or any other DSM specific site, you would think people would have enough sense to purchase something from DSM vendors who have been established as reputable and sell reputable and quality products. No..no..no..they throw all that out of the window, scroll ebay or some no-name vendor who offers the product for $20 less and make their purchases. I personally believe any one who does this deserves what they get in the end.

This is part of DSM ownership. We buy these cars because they're cheap junk, therefore the parts we buy for them must be cheap junk as well.

hey, well i bought it from a reputable place from DSMParts.com i never expected it to become this much of a headache, dsmparts has since agreed to refund my money in full and return the IC core, so my problem with them is solved, i just figured i would warn people away from clubmitsubishi as he is the MFR of the ic kit

All these "kits" are, is a johnny racecar fmic. They sell for 325 for just the core though jonhhyracecar.com. The cores are good. Just go buy one and make your own pipes, or get someone to make you one.
As for the people saying that the admin of clubmitsu saying his kits are on back order....he is lying. he is no longer allowed to buy the cores from jr so you will not get anything if he has your money.

Right. They're JRC FMICs (225 last I checked) and 40 dollars of piping available from summit, jegs, jcw, etc. Nothing special, just some kid putting it all together and setting it on his grandmas rug on the deck. No flange, no beaded ends, no painted piping, just middleman teenager crap.
