I had ordered just a simple replacement PCV from them over a week ago. They are located in an area that ships to me in 3 days and the only time its ever taken longer is when UPS had a problem. I called today and asked to check up on my order and I come to find out that the part that they have had in stock had yet to be shipped. So i stated that I had ordered the part over a week ago and the lady I was talking with just said "sir, it generally takes 5-10 days for the part to be shipped" she said "goodbye" and just hung up the phone. I for one am not doing any bussiness with dsmparts.com again and just thought that I would share my experience with them. This is just my opinion, some may have had a good experience shopping with them. Just my .02

If it is UPS ground, they usually do take 5-10 buisness days, if not a little longer sometimes.

I haven't ordered anything from them, but they prices are reasonable.

I used to do alot of business with them, because the prices were good and there were only a few guys that ever answered the phones and they knew their stuff. Within the past year though anytime that i have called i have ended up with a woman who made a smart remark as mentioned above or had no idea what the part i was asking about even was. It all culminated with them one of them telling me it would take at least 10 days to get a slave cylinder from them when UPS ships here in 2 days. When I inquired why it takes so long compared to before she just spit out some company policy and hung up as well. Something has definetely changed for the worst over there.

I ordered a BISS screw and two shifter bushings kits (plate and cable) from them earlier this year. I recieved the shifter cable kit within 1-2 weeks with it's own receipt (screw and other kit wasn't on it). I waited another week to get the others, then another week went by. I finally called them 4 weeks after to ask where my other orders were going to get here and a lady said 'Shortly, thanks for waiting.' About another two weeks went by with no packages so I called them again. A lady (maybe the same one) picked up and explained that the BISS screw and plate bushings kit were on backorder and they probably weren't going to get them in stock anymore, so she'd refund my money. I had to call them 6-7 weeks after to see what was going on. They won't get my business again.

Yeah I have had the same thing happen. I think they changed thier call center staff because they used to be really friendly and now it just seems like they have a bunch of pricks working for them. They have always been my parts vendor of choice though...

They were good to me when I bought the shifter bushing kit 7 months ago, but I haven't bought anything since, maybe they just hired some new people who shouldn't be dealing with customers to begin with.

I have recently had some issues with them as well.

I bought a FPR from them, received the wrong fuel rail adapter plate. No problem I thought, I called them up. They told me that the whole batch was defective and that I had to return the whole thing. I did so, and paid the shipping out of pocket (temporarily) as I'm in Canada. I ask them to ship USPS as I won't have to pay insane brokerage fees.

They then didn't bother to ship me the new one, and I had to call to get them to send the new parts. After taking my FPR off the fuel rail I noticed that they'd sent the WRONG adapter once again! Did I mention they shipped it via UPS and it cost me $61 bucks at the door in brokerage fees?!!!!

By this point I'm really starting to get frustrated. I call them up and talk to a really nice girl who sounded like she wanted to help me out. I had just paid $60 in fees and she tells me they won't send the new rail USPS, and they they'll only ship UPS. Christ!! After going back, she must have talked to her supervisor and then a tech. The tech basically made me out to be a complete fool and that it should fit.

I'm sorry, but if the nipple that goes into the fuel rail is 1/8 or more too small to fill the hole, how is it going to seal?! She then told me to contact the manufacturer as I didn't know how to install it!

I call the company and it took a whopping 30 seconds for him to tell me I've got the wrong one for sure. I sent it out, they're sending me the proper one back. End of story.

I will no longer be dealing with DSMPARTS.COM or any other MASTAMINDS ran websites. The girl was at least very nice and seemed to care about what she was doing. This isn't the first issue i've had with them. I once waited 5 months for a boost guage from them.

I'll now only deal with more reputable dsm vendors! I can't afford this kind of B.S. anymore.

.

For the future, have them mark "warranty replacement" on the documentation. That is technically what it is and you won't have to pay duty on the same item multiple times. But then UPS will still kill you with their outrageous broker and handling fees.

I don't mind the duty, its not that much anyway. The brokerage fees are completely stupid though. I remember a 100 downpipe costing me over 115 dollars at the door from them as well. USPS doesn't charge you those bullshit fees. I don't know about you, but if a customer asks for something I generally give it to them. The customer is paying for it afterall.

USPS has tracking and insurance available too, so don't use the lost package bullshit excuse either.

There is no reason it should have sat there for a week!

I work in a service dept. and things don't sit there for a week unless we have reason. That is just piss poor service!

I think the comment about the call center changing is correct because there used to be a couple of knowledgeable guys their that i spoke to all the time and they were very helpful. Never managed to talk to them in the past few phonecalls though

I only deal with FP.com And SBR.com... ONLY!

bought a bc from dsmparts.com about 2 or 3 months ago(can't remember it's been so long)called them up and they said they never recieved my payment. I looked at my paypal account and it says transactions: completed. Theres $50.00 bucks that could have been down the drain if it weren't for paypal insurance.

FP.com and SBR.com have never done that. I'v bought stuff from them for atleast a year and a half and I have never recieved a product over 9 to 10 days. One screw up is enough for me

Thats just too bad. The guy didn't ask me why it didn't fit, just told me that it should (fuel rail adapter) and to contact the company who made it. I was pretty pissed, its not hard to ask me some basic questions that would clearly identify the problem. Nope, just tell me that I'm wrong and that it should fit. That place has gone to shit! No more business from me.
