:( cuttin out and smokin back 1995 eagle talon tsi awd auto, straight exhaust(no cat, muff muff, or resos), elimated rear o2 sens, greddy hard pipe, greddy type s BOV, Concept Illusions BC, 14b td05h turbo, 1g injectors(blu top), elim. A/C, interior weight reduction(suprisingly impressive), running 94 octane fuel...
Alright, I'm gettin beat on left and right on the road, it sucks and noone knows what the prob is around here...so here it is, the car shifts from 1st to 2nd and it starts cutting out real bad and blowing black smoke, going about 80 down the highway w/ O/D on about 1/4 trottle..cuts out and throws black smoke...?!?!?!? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!NEONS ARE HAVING THEIR WAY WITH ME AND ITS GOTTA END NOW!!:-( ...Any true tsi driver knows how bad it is to get beat by an effin neon...

the problem could be a million things...really
since your blowing a lot of black smoke i would assume it has to do with fuel, so either you got a big leaky and a bunch of air is escaping somewhere, how is your boost acting how much are you running

I am running 18 psi, it creeps to 20 for a split second and drops back to 18 steady, it does seem to take longer than normal to fully spool tho..

then i would first check for boost leaks, and take it from there, just keep narrowing the list down

Stock fuel pump? If so id replace it with a walbro.

OH YEAH<BTW> If anyone is interested..I have a Garrett .42 trim working turbo here, I want a big 16 so I will trade the 14b that I have and the Garrett for a Big 16, I know this dosent belong in here but I dont have 50 posts yet :(

fixed boost leaks....and its still doing it, and i also tried the auto trans mod by interrupting the tcu to ecu via blk/blu wire goin to the ecu and still no good

what did you do to eliminate your rear 02? Any CEL's?

No CELs whatsoever, there is a resistor and a heat simulator that are mounted the the steel pillar in the driver side of the dash console..not sure exactly how it is wired but i will look tomorrow and let you know for sure...
Come on--I need help here, why is my car cutting out and blowing black so bad and I have no boost leaks?!?! tried new plugs and wires today too :confused:

Sounds to me like maybe your 14b is a dying breed.... lots of black smoke will usually indicate a bad turbo

Check for these things
How old are the plug wires? Oil in the valve cover valley will kill them fast.
Stock Blow Off, weak spring opening up early, venting etc?

welll.....brand new top of the line plug wire, NGK V-Power Plugs, Greddy Type S BOV set at hard, no oil in plug wire valley....gimme alll you got, noone knows what the hell the problem is but if you are interested in finding out so that you know for your own good check back later tonight cuz I am going to get a snap on scan tool so I can test drive it and watch all parameters and see whats going on with this damn thing so ill let you know if i get it..

venting atmosphere but its an automatic soo that kinda dont matter, and as far as the bad turbo thing goes, im not sure about the black smoke i know blue smoke is bad turbo, black smoke is total richness......

Are the 1g injectors you are using OEM 450's? Didn't all the 2g's come with 450's from the factory? Why did you change them?
Definitely sounds like the part throttle stumble that all AT cars have, especially in OD cruising on the hiway. You step on the gas to accelerate, the car pulls timing, you watch the boost climb but the car goes nowhere, and sounds like crap. You let off the gas, stomp it again, the car downshifts, and you zoom off.
Sounds familiar?

i think you can only do that if you have a 1g cAS or DSMLink.
You need some sort of fuel control.
What does it do when you go WOT?

Ok, first turn the boost down. Your not helping your self at all running that on stock piping and Smic. Second, get an afc or dsmlink or something to tune with. Put a upgraded 190lph, or 255 in there. Your going to blow your car up eventually if you dont take do the supporting mods first.

WOT it will cut a little bit, like you can hear it in the exhaust it like backfires, and you can feel it loose power for a second, and I have greddy uihp..and i will get a fuel pump asap
