I am the "john Doe" that whiteonyx86 mentioned. I had the stage 2 stroker motor in my car from slowboy. It ran good for a few months. had about 430whp, should be nothing for a motor that will handle 800whp. Anyhow i snapped the crank with about 2000 miles. Once the motor was taken apart i found out it had a remanufactured crank, which was supposed to be new... when the crank snapped it ruined the block. when i called sbr they simply told me no warranty and that was the end of it. so im curious as to what should be done. id like my money back so i can build the 6 bolt setting in my garage but im sure that wont happen without legal action.

not good to hear. I'm getting ready to order their 2g front mount. Hope they handle this appropriately.

I highly suggest you call them. They can't help you out on a forum, neither can anyone. Hope it works out.

well if you paid for a new crank and they sent you a remanufactured one then they should do somthing about it. its their fault.

You read his post right? ;) They already told him to fuck off. He posted here so others can be weary.

Sorry to hear man.

You should have a detailed receipt of parts put into that engine. If not, then that is bad for you and good for them. Which sucks, but if it was only a verbal, then you got nothing except spit and rammed. If you do have a receipt specifying a new crank then you have a solid case.

Future customers might just wanna ask for that part by part receipt I guess.

I have yet to receive the promised pictures of this crank.

Locked, for my own sanity. For now.
