I was considering some lowering springs for my 2G Talon for better handling along with some new struts. I want to go with H&R's since I had some of their Sport Springs on my 1G Talon and loved them. I really don't want to lower the car much. I noticed that H&R has three different types of springs available for the 2G. They have the Sport Springs (which those that opt for H&R's usually seem to get) that lower the car about 1.5 inches (I had these on my other car...they only lower the 1G about an inch). They have the 'Race Coil' springs that lower the car about 2.0. They also have something I didn't get the option of choosing from when I bought springs for my 1G...'Original Equipment Sport Springs'. These only lower the front an inch and lower the rear about 3/4ths of an inch. The Eibach Pro-Kits and the H&R Sport springs seem to be right on the bleeding edge of needing an alignment kit. These may have a lowering subtle enough to not need a kit. Anyone using these springs? If so, how were your alignment specs after installation? I found them at carparts.com.
