Im sure some one will tell you differ, but I have 17's on my 94 Talon and they just barely fit. Im runnin 215/50z/17 Goodyear Eagle's. Im sure if you cut(lol) your wheelwells a little you can fit bigger. The baks have no prob. at all fittin, but the fronts have about 1/2" gap until the tire hits the bottom of the strut. Hope this helps.

On a 1G I have 17x8" wheels and 235/45 tires. They stick out about 1/2" in the front but the rears fit inside nicely and are pretty flat with the side of the car.

I have a 1.5" drop curtesy of GC coilovers and KYB AGX shocks and I have no rubbing issues.

Hope that helps.

I have run 16x8 with 245/45-16 and 17x8 with 245/45-17 on my FWD, I have run 17x9 with 255/40-17 on my AWD but I bet they will fit on my FWD also.
The 8" wheels need an offset of 38-40mm the 9" wheels need an offset of 30mm. The 9" wheels will stick out about a 1/2" the 8" wheels will not if you have the correct offset.
