I've got this clicking noise that comes from the right rear wheel of my '91 gsx. It clicks only when I engage quickly into first or reverse, i.e., when I start moving from stopped. I haven't pulled the wheel yet to see what it is, but I wanted to get some input before I do so. The local dealer tech thinks there's something in the brake assembly on that wheel that could be loose, such as a bracket, and hits against one side or another when the car starts moving forwards or backwards. So far I have noticed no compromise is braking performance.

My 91 talon AWD also does this. I think there is a TSB for it at mitsubishi. You can get different anti-ratle clips for it. That should solve the problem, but I havn't tryed the fix.
You can get the clips from the dealer.

Sorry, but what's a TSB?
nuke,
A TSB is a technical service bulletin. It alerts the mechanics at the dealerships as to a problem.
