Well, what could have been a horror story ended up turning out alright. I stopped by PTuning in Manassas, VA (they also have a website) this past Saturday. I wanted new rotors and pads for my TSi. I ended up choosing racing brake rotors and hawk pads. Well, I went to swap the front rotors and it turns out that they gave me the rotors for the FWD turbo and not the AWD turbo. There is a pretty big difference in the size. However, I demolished the stock rotors with a hammer to get them off, so there was no way I was gonna put those back on. I put on the too-small rotors and pads and just didn't drive for the rest of the weekend. This morning, I went back to them and told them they made a mistake. They apologized, gave me the correct rotors at no additional charge ($35 difference) and let me take the new rotors home so I could swap them out. I will return the incorrect ones on my way to work.

I was happy with the service (although not too thrilled they gave me the wrong parts in the first place) and I was really happy that they allowed me to return the wrong rotors even though they were installed.

So, long story short, they made it all work out. Not a bad place to shop and they seem to have EVERYTHING in stock. Check it out sometime.
