Hey everyone, Ive heard people say that it is risky to lower an AWD car because if its not lowered 100% equal on each corner, then it could screw up the AWD. So my question is, is this true? And if not, whats the best stuff to get for lowering a 91 TSi AWD? How much would it cost for everything? Also, does this improve the handling a decent amount because AWD usually handles pretty damn good=) Anyway, thanks to anyone who replies.

Lowering an AWD is not that risky. I lowered mine a good 1 7/8" to 2". All it took were lowering springs. The only thing you'll notice is the sag in the rear wheels. A little sag is good, you tires will stand straight up when you launch. I paid $200 for a set of Progressive sport springs. The Eibach sport line will run you around $225 for the set.
