ok i do not own a timing gun , nor does anyone have one to let me use or help me do it. so i am down to this, does someone know where the cam position theing on the left side of the valve cover should be, in the middle, pointed up a little, vice versa? i want it 5 degrees advanced like it supposed to be, can i do it this easily?

anybody know what im talking about?

Rent a timing gun from your local auto parts store.

You will not be able to guess at it to get the correct setting. Rent a timing gun or buy one for $20 and do it right.
