I know there are tons of threads about swapping 2Gb parts but I had a few questions that I couldnt find answers to.
- would you have to change the trunk springs if you currently have a "thumbnail" spoiler?
- are there big holes that would be left after ripping out the thumbnail spoiler, and how hard would it be to weld those holes/ and is it worth it? Anybody have some experience with this they are willing to share?
Thanks :P

just an afterthought, but what about leaving the thumb and adding a gst whale-wing? My car is blue and the thumb is black.... u think itll look good with a blue-matched whale wing?
Anybody have pics of a similar setup??? would it even fit?? LOL
Thanks again :)

Would you have to change the trunk springs if you currently have a "thumbnail" spoiler? What "springs" are you refering to? The hatch struts, what Mitsubishi call the "Gas Springs"?
Are there big holes that would be left after ripping out the ... spoilerYes. There are many threads about filling holes left after switching spoilers. There was a pretty good recently (within the last week or two). Take a peak further down the message list.

I personally think that it looks horrible, but that's your call. If you want to end up with the Eclipse turbo spoiler either way, you might as well get it, and then set it on the car and decide if you want to keep the stock spoiler too. Filling the mounting holes isn't the simplist of tasks, but the results will be much better, in my opinion.
