I bought GTS headlight covers (smoked).
First, the covers made for covering the side markers are not bent at a tight enough angle, so I had to heat them and bend them, because the fell off. The velcro attachments that come with them are not sticky enough for me. So I ripped off the sticky velcro and got my own double-sided tape. This makes the covers fit very close to the body, unlike the stock velcro, which makes the covers stick out about 1/4 in. They look much more streamlined. Also, I tore off the top rubber "seal" because it interrupted the smooth looking flow of the front end. Pretty cheap product, really. But they look awesome.

I have a set gts rear covers for a 1g if you want those too. Anyone that wants to see a pic of what they look like just send me an email.

Yeah, cheap product but cool looking.
I first ripped off the velcro that makes it stick out like an inch from the car. Then I drilled some holes and used screws to hold it on. Looks pretty good. Black screws btw.

I dont quite understand exactly how you did that. Where did you drill the holes? Did you drill them into the lights or the body? Also how many holes did you drill per cover?

I drilled into the lights.
Actually, the small surround of black plastic right around them.
I put one screw in each corner of each section.
Sorry i'm not very good at explaining these things and I did it a long time ago.
Lemme know if you need any more info.

I used 3M double sided foam sticky stuff from Home Depot, so far so good.

Do the headlight covers make the lights any dimmer at night?

On cars with pop-ups, since the covers dont cover the actual lights, they are no dimmer.
On a 92 and up, yes the lights will be a considerable amount dimmer. With foglights you'll be ok, but otherwise, it can get pretty dim.

Does anyone have a picture of a 90/91 in black with them on? I usually don't like these kinda things on Escorts and Grand Am's and F-150's.
Some one I used to work with had a White 90 talon with them and I thought it looked like crap.

My car is black. From the front they look great, very sinister kind of look to them. I made my own grill inserts to go with them which some might consider a little ricey but the front end was just to plain. I think they look great on black early 1g's.
The only thing about them is that from the side they kinda make it look like you have no lights at all up front.
I wish I could show you what I'm talking about.
