I am rebuilding my motor (7 bolt 95 GST) because i was stupid and broke it, but amoung other things it has one bad lifter, and i was wondering if i could just replace that one lifter, or if all of them had to be replaced, or if i could get away with just the exhaust side. I have only been able to find a whole set of revised lifters for $150 and that made me think that maybe all of them had to be replaced at the same time for some reason.

you could replace only one, but chances are the rest will go bad eventually, my opinion - buy the whole set of revised lifters you can find the whole set on ebay for like 105

I would personally change them all out with the big hole lifters.
