cruise control??

hey everyone... question about the cruise control on my 1991 talon NT...well, anyway, i have cruise on it, and when i put it on... it doesn't go on , the light comes up and the pedal actaully makes a vibration, you can feel it on your foot when you turn it on.. but the cruise stops, i can stop the gas, or let it go and the car responds normally... any ideas? thanks for the input

Mine did that very same thing
Change the vacume line that runs to it!
Mine was cracked slightly and did not fit real tight even though it looked fine.I ran my car for two years and never figured out what was wrong until I took off the vacume line.
Once I changed that it worked fine!
new hose cost me $1.50

Did the vaccum hose cause the vibration or the other problem? Cause there is a slight little vibration for a second or 2 that occurs when i push the button to engage my cruise control. It works fine other than the weird vibration you can feel.

Replace the vacuume hose
It must have been the hose with mine, that was the only thing I changed (and lubed the cables)

Hmmm....my 95 started doing the SAME thing last summer. I thought is was due to the wearning on the switch-stop on the brake pedal, but I stoppind thinking so when playing with EITHER the brake or the clutch would cause the crusie to work again.

I'll have to check out the vaccuum line on that.....
