yah, Im in that group, it isn't dead, just not active in the winter, which makes sense. Year round there is people trading and such, its a yahoo group

No, the site is confusing I guess...It's a yahoo email group...I get like 40 emails every couple weeks cuz of that site...It's used like a forum, except people respond thru emails....

There haven't been any major meets planned lately, but there will be...Right now if you subscribe, you'll probably just be seeing tech questions and random junk, but if you ask about a meet I guarantee you a shitload of people will reply back saying "ok, lets meet here and then"

Forgot to mention that if you sign up on dsmtuners, they have a midwest specific event forum also, and there a few threads on upcoming Chicago meets...

Including: AMS is having the annual Swap meet/bbq on June 11th...That will probably be huge!! I went last year and there had to be like 30-60 modded dsm's and evos throughout the day

if your coming from the south, take 94W towards Milwaukee and Exit Grand Ave West (the 2nd Grand Ave Exit) Youll be able to see Six Flags from the highway. After you exit, make a right at the first light.

We do little things every weekend usually....You guys that are registered on tuners should subscribe to our Lake County DSM'rs thread....Im Kraka over there...

We are still planning around our big lake county softball/bbq meet....The date isn't set yet but it should be good, probably a decent turnout....We started these meets back in early april, and we all stay in touch so I'll keep an update for the next one...

Also, the chicago dsm yahoo group is still strong, and we just had a get-together at the Hooters Parking Lot in Schaumberg last week, where we had at least 10+ modded dsm's, including that crazy 9 second 2g....Another meet will be planned soon, and I'll post pics up also of the last couple ones

The AMS dsm swap meet and bbq is still planned for June 11th...Expect a giant turnout and lots of parts, food, people and dsm's....Don't expect too much parking; its usually almost all filled up, and this past year they have gotten 10x as popular with the evo crowd and whatnot so get there early just to be safe

So, in conclusion, ha, there are tons of chicago meets happening every weekend, just come to me or DjWired for the lo-down if you wish to meet us up or want more details..>We usually make it to everyone and are doing something dsm related every weekend...

Like I mentioned, or maybe forgot to mention, it's not exactly planned as far as date...It was originally for this past weekend, but Robb, one of our group members, was out of town...

Expect it to happen soon tho, one option at the moment seems to be the weekend after the AMS meet weekend, so in the range of June 17th...And this meet is not going to be at Gurnee Mills, it will be in a park somewhere in that area tho....
