Ya, this vid has almost no footage in it...I had to cut down everything to make it fit....There's no shots of the race cars out in chicago and all of the cobras, dsm's, and slick tire Mustangs cruising with us...

Ya, honda was a b18 swapped civic, he let off at the end, but he definitely couldn't keep up for a while...I actually like the raw footage better, you can hear the o2 dump and spooling of the turbo's a lot clearer...

u kno i was going to sell my 2g.. you didnt say much.. but that made me change my mind.... i was going to sell it for 8500 and get a galant vr-4 and have fun with that.. but i think im just going to keep my auto 2g.. and see how far i go ;) maybe get some manual trans in there hahah..

My pump and injectors should go in next weekend, and once tuning is superb and I bump this 14banger up to 17-18psi, we are heading back to that area b/c I got called out by a few guys, including an 18psi 1g...

More videos coming soon...I still got lots of footage, but next time we cruise around we'll get more...

Rich's car can pull on mine anyday, but It definitely has 'room for improvement'....With the auto and minor 20+psi tune, I definitely have the jump off for a few seconds until the o2 dump starts getting louder and the top end kicks in....

Im only a new clutch away from kicking ass from a dig tho

Auto plus AWD is the fattest the DSM pig gets.
Weight should be something to think about.

Ha...SO we're going to the track this weekend, and we are definitely going to be the slowest cars there unless the Honduh's show up...

Im gonna go out and practice my launching some time...I wanna slip it at 4500rpm, but I don't want my clutch to slip in the process...Damn that would be embarassing, a 3.0 60' in a awd dsm...

If I can launch it, and boost is at 15psi, and I actually go full throttle for once....Hmm, I wanna get low 14's at least on pump gas and 15lbs...High 13's would be sick!

For you, you could easily get into the 13's if you could launch...If you really can build 20psi on a launch then holy shit, I can't wait to get that shit on camera!

cough wheel hop cough.. lol ;) Yea i can launch with 20 psi.. but its not good for tranny to do it often.. so i'll do it once.. the rest i willl just regular brake torque.. just to try and get a good run in there i'm going to try and tune my car while i'm there i guess.. ;) i hope your clutch doesnt fail you.. launching too much might just... kill your clutch altogether hope that doesnt happen josh..

Nah, Im just a poser really...Ha, I don't actually 'run' the chicago dsm database no, nor did I start it...Sorry to disapoint any hopeful people...

I do attend almost every dsm meet in the 50 mile radius tho...And I have helped organized tons of chicago area dsm meets..So if you ever need the hookup on some upcoming things just PM me and I can help you out...You are actually a lot closer to chicago than I am, Im just a suburban kid really (lake county area)....

Asmo...My clutch is not broken or anything, it's just well, Stock! I have launched below 4000 and it grabs but bogs, and I have launched above 5k rpm and it mostly just slips and I get to embarass myself in front of Rich....I have never launched it at 4500rpm, but Im hoping this will be my sweet spot for now....

I need a helmet if I think I can run better than a 13.99, so I dunno, if the launch goes good I hope they dont kick me out for not bringing one!

Have you ever tried feathering it while pulsing the gas?
It'll keep it from bogging.
Not hold @ X rpm and dump.
More like wah wah wah wah wah more gas less clutch.
Don't just side step it if you're having problems with it holding.

I used windows movie maker 2, nada special....

I don't dump the clutch either...I do the slip method, where you release the clutch slowly with the rpm's where you want it, and once it starts to grab and start moving slowly I release the clutch and put my foot on the gas in 1 motion, but not hardcore dumping the clutch or anything...

Yeah! Well me and Rich voted against the track considering it was raining, and well, it was closed...

But, I got my launch down good...I slip the clutch at 4000rpm and not only do I NOT bog, shiiittt, I get thrown into my seat hard and a quick glance at the boost gauge shows 15psi coming at me fast and a little 17psi creep at full throttle....

So, fuel system and tuning NEXT WEEK....Then hopefully track the weekend after that, if not, then we got a whole summer to go and test our 'summer projects'....

And still have a ton to tune out.

Ya, dsmlink would be nice, but I know for sure I am not Eprom, and altho I've seen sets for like $700 to get the ecu and dsmlink, I dunno, maybe I am just lazy...For now I will try going old school and see how much I like this safc for tuning...My biggest problem at the moment is fighting the logger problems...Nothing but trouble so far
