View Full Version : 4G64 into a N/T 2g?

I was just curious to know if anyone has ever swapped a 4G64 into a non-turbo 2nd gen? I searched but couldn't find anything but 4G64 into a turbo chassis.

The 420A in the non-turbo 2G is a completely different engine, actually sitting on the other side of the engine bay from the 4G64. There are NO similarities whatsoever. You'll have to replace EVERYTHING. It's not worth it in any way, shape, or form.

I didn't plan on trying it, just wondering if it had been done. It seems like it would be pretty pointless to swap a 4G64 into anything.

Not saying it's a bad motor, it just seems like it would be pointless to swap it into anything because anything you could swap it into already has a pretty good motor in it.

Uhh, well I happen to know a 2gnt-T who is doing a 4g64 bottom end build...Maybe its not a 4g64, but it is definitely a 2.4 bottom end to go on top of the 2gnt head...I believe...

I am pretty sure it is an srt4 shortblock....I will ask him again, but he is a wiseman on dsmtuners so he knows what hes doing...

Try the 420a section on tuners or 2gnt
