Ok.. Learning how to launch the car, staging with a 5 speed is a bit tougher then the old auto. Still getting it down but I am bogging less and less at the line.

First race was vs a truck... kinda lame but oh well, it got smashed, I could have rolled through the rest of the track in 1st and won I think. I granny shifted second and third because I was a little scared from last week when I popped my shift linkage going into second.

Second race, I started to roll during stutter and hit the brakes so I would trip the light, I started to stutter again and left the line a tad late. Poor launch and unfortunatly blue car popped an oil line and started to smoke and delay the races by 30 minutes.

Third Race was one of my best of the night. Almost perfect launch, little to no bog, Got second much better then before, third was good as well but the heat was killing me. Still, the might Honduh could not hang.

Next Friday, Saturday and Sunday I will be practicing and hopefully have more video for my enjoyment and hopefully yours ( I aint no Evil_Eagle... Yet. Ill be hunting soon :D )

in the second race, did you race a supercharged v8 miata? I can't tell because the video is shaky and not focused on the blue car

I dont know what I raced. My sister was taking the video off her digital camera. What I do know is, it kicked my butt. It was a good loss ( klingon voice )

On that same race, did you have trouble going into second or is it just from the camera video?! seems like you had a bad bog there for a couple of secs!

Im lovin that last race. solid launch/Reaction time/Trap
Have you ever done any bracket racing yet? (I saw some marker on your windows & didnt think it was your dial-in number . I also didn't notice a difference in the greens lighting off, but i could be wrong)

yes I had trouble getting into second on the first race, its called granny shifting.. kind of afraid of popping my trans ( has 169k on it ). Trans seems solid though and I am getting into it more, learning how it shifts ( last 5 speed was a 91 integra ls ). I did bog but fixed that with a little more stutterbox.

I have not done any bracket yet, that is two weeks from today ( Summit series ) and three weeks from today ( Battle of the imports ). I am getting as much practice in as I can.

That video was my 5th, 6th and 7th time launching a AWD 5 speed. The number was the number they gave us, not our dial in number.
