Two more video's.

First video is from last Friday. I was getting more used to launching the car but now jumping the gun a little bit. In the first video there are 3 clips.

The first part was me vs a WRX. I could not get the car into 3rd and lost my lead, barely.

The second part was me vs something I dont recall. I lost, bad.

The 3rd was vs a LT1 firebird I believe ( so a friend said ). He launched bad, I spun a bit but held him off.

(last Sat) The second video is of me vs my friends Turbo Stang. His car was untuned, he had just finished putting it together at the track and got it running when we raced. I had been tuned but my car was falling flat on its face in the higher RPM's from the heat I think. My reaction times were freaking outstanding that day compaired to Friday. I am doing better. In this video, I spin all the way through 1st gear which hurt me a lot.

Yeah I got owned. v8 with turbo, just icing on the cake.. perhaps next time I can own.

My Honduh friend, who taped the video is upset because even on his best day, his car could not out run mine.

I am having a little trouble. I dont know what it is for sure. I have my 60 foots down to 1.9 and my shifts are pretty quick but it was 107 out that day and anything in the high RPM range the car would fall flat on its face. my logs didnt show much knock at all, if I recall only 0.7 on DSMLINK. Down low, the car felt good as hell.

I got it tuned and with 130 degree intake temps, pulled 274 out of it but I was told that the HP numbers would be lower then what I would see during a much cooler day. I was hoping for mid to low 13's but maybe my driving isnt up to par yet. I am getting better and better and in time, I am sure I will do well.

sometimes I do regret not spending the money on a 4g64 bottom end instead of a 5 speed swap.

I don't think you messed up on the purchase, it just takes getting used to.
torque is nice, but when you have a bottom end that can handle a lot more than 274 who cares?

My shifting is getting better, this 170,000 mile transmission is a bit old though and a little notchy. Doing the best I can with it until I get a new racing trans.

The video with 3 cars is 1/8th, the video with the mustang is 1/4

Not too bad, just have to work on shifting. How many runs did you do at the 1/4? If you are use to draggin on 1/8, the 1/4 seems a hell of a lot differnt!

Since December ( and since I am now 5 Speed ) I have had 16 runs on the 1/8th and 5 on the 1/4th. I am going back to the 1/8th this Friday for more practice and then on the 29th I am going to Battle of the Imports ( maybe ).

I have some upgrades I am going to do tomorrow most likely and need to do a quick tune before Friday. Upgrading from 550 to 1000cc injectors.

does it really take that long for the 20g to boost??? or is it because of the angle it's recorded or something?

On that day ( Sat ) it would not boost until 4200 rpm's. On a colder day it boosts at about 4000. If you are refering to the video with the Mustang, when I spun all the way thru 1st, I bogged second during the shift and it took a bit to build it back up. My wastegate does not open until the onset of 20 psi. That is the only time you will hear it otherwise its all turbo you hear.
