what do you think is the main reason he got the z06 as oppose to the reg vett? Horsepower, I bet if you asked the guy he would say the same. The z06 will do a 1/4 mile in 11.6 stock so if the talon was a low 11 sec car than it doesent really matter if the guy in the vett was driving his best race, unless the talon driver really drove bad the talon will win.

As for handling that can be addressed by aftermarket parts too. I am not saying that the vett is a shitty car by far, I love that thing and if I had the cash I would buy one for sure.

I guess I shouldent have sayed you dont always get what you pay for because for the price you do get alot with the vett compaired to ferrari's and lambo's, I guess I just love to see hot shot rich guys with expensive cars get whoooped buy a cheap 4 banger. And he got hwooooped!!! :tat:

I have seen civics out handle vettes...I know a dsm with a decent suspension set up will out handle a vette any day of the week

Wow, you should definitely clarify this.

A track setup Civic will out handle a stock Corvette. A decent suspension DSM will not out handle a stock Corvette (c5 and up) unless by a decent suspension you mean aftermarket swaybars, +$1000 coilovers, extra grippy tires, camber correction, etc.

Stock C5's pull .91 or better g's on a skidpad no stock or midly modded DSM or Civic is going to come close.

That particular C6 Z06 pulls a 1.0 or better STOCK which is one of the highest skidpad numbers produced for any manufactured vehicle.
