lame....how did that car win dsm of the month? i may sound anal, but you have a hyundai valve cover, stock intake, aftermarket gauges that dont match anything else to name a few things....the car looks great but far from a car of the month....just my meaningless opinion though

did i just see 278 hp in that. thats it im sorry i lost respect for it at that point. how hard would it have been to put a 14b and the danm free mods.and atleast hit 320 hp

i guess im a motor head. screw the apperience. i am sick of dsmr's getting there jolley's of to looks. danm if you sit in a car and mash the gas and you can't lift your head from the seat. that is a bad ass ride.

You may be a "motor head" as you put it but, I take it that you didnt pass your 4th grade english class. Dont be be so quick to judge someone just because of there current mods on their car. The DSM in that video has nothing appearance wise, done to the car except painted wheels so your rant about you being sick of DSMers getting off to looks is irrelevant in this case. Simply putting a 14b on his car and some free mods will not get you 320 HP, just like that "motor head".

The video was good, nice looking car, to bad your selling it.

Here I am. Time to defend myself against everyone who knows everything about my car from a video. Since I will not let people assume things they do not know, time to clear up some misconceptions.

To start off. This car has already started to have been parted out, small things here and there.

For Example, Dejon Tool intake pipe. Hacked the stock one, and put that back in its place.

Next, the white face reverse indiglow gauges I sold to some kid locally for $40. Hence the reason my gauge cluster does not match my autometers... That is real High on my priority list: rolleyes:

Next I get flammed for a Hyundai Valve Cover? Have you ever heard of being different? Or Originality? It is powder coated gunmetal and letters are all polished to a mirror finish. I get more compliments about that than anything else :confused: ... You make no sense to me. Just to make you feel better, I want you to know I have a stock 7 bolt and stock red striped 6 bolt VC, that just don't do it for me. Why? Cuz they are on every single 1G and 2G out there... Boring A plain silver VC on a Burgandy car? Or Better yet, a silver with Red Stipes on a Burgandy car? That won't look out of place I am sure.

The car was and always is constantly changing, hence in the pictures and videos things are not the same, they were all taken at different times over the past 3 years.

The Exhaust in the Videos when the car was on the stock Chrome wheels was a 2.5" HKS Hyper Hipower Turboback with RRE DP. In the pics with the Bronze rims A 3" Slowboy VRS resides, with a Custom Hybrid Connection 02 dump, makes a pretty aggressve note.

The car was tuned last year on a ported T28 at 20lbs of boost on a 12 psi stock flapper, coupled with homade MBC that could not hold that much boost past 6500, to the redline. This was on a stock SMIC and the 2.5" Exhaust. I would say I did pretty good with numbers to the ground on a really conservative tune with failry simple mods. Do you not agree? As i only had those minimal mods when I made those numbers.

I will post up the dyno graph showing how much power was being lost each run to the heat soaked SMIC. I wanted to get some baseline numbers before DSM Link, 3" Exhaust, the FMIC, 17psi Actuator, and my own wide band.

I know 350hp, and prolly a little less TQ would have been totally obtainable. It just took time, and money. And I wanted to graduate college and buy a Nice daily driver at the time. So before you start hating, just get the facts straight.

For anyone complimenting me I appreciate the comments, because my Buddy and I spent a lot of time on this video, it is the first of its kind and we feel it came out 150% better than we could have imagined. It is a shame you have to have the haters. That really is not necessary sometimes.

Clearly I am crying? And how do you know my mod list? You continue to puzzle me. If valve covers and gauges did not bother you then why would you mention something that was not high on your priority list. Your reasoning, and simple sentence structure all suck!!!

How many are on jackstands like yours with spun bearings, or with giant holes in there block with bits of what used to be a 7 Bolt rods in their oil pans? How many dings are in your car? Mine has one. How many swirl marks? Mine has none. When your car resides in Upstate NY and there is not a spec of rust near the hood latch, strut towers, or on the rear trunk lid you know you have a one of a kind DSM. Flawless body, nice smooth powerband, someone who knew how to build his car right the first time and is just as RELIABLE as any Honda on the road is why my car won car of the month. There is no other 1998 GST in NYS that is as CLEAN as mine. I know it for a fact.

Tony seriously has the cleanest 2g I have seen. It would be nice if everyone could have seen it in it's glory when he had his fmic on with all of the polished pipes and whatnot. As everyone knows, you don't get your money back by selling it with mods, so you part it out. That's exactly what he is doing, and it's something tons of people have done before them. You either like it or you don't. The way empie is carrying on makes me believe he is jealous, but just for saying that he'll probably start flaming me too.

The car is clean, and mostly stock on the outside. Looks good. The video is fine. Nothing spectacular but it is good and did what I am sure it was meant to do.

As far as not being worthy of car of the month? Arguing over that is about the most ignorant thing in this thread.
