So it looks like I'm getting bent over by Philip Graham and Marie Parker from Roanoke, VA. I purchased a 2g fwd tranny from them for $444 through paypal and I haven't received a tracking number after numerous delays. Philip was very quick to respond to emails before and ever since I sent him the $, he has taken for ever to respond and now hasn't got back to me in about a week.
I am opening a paypal dispute, and I will be contacting my bank's dispute department tomorrow morning. I made a dumb move and payed through my checking account and not through a credit card. :wall:
If anyone has more contact information please send it my way. I saw the tranny through an add on DSMtrader: http://www.dsmsource.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=5767&cat=all.
He used to post on DSMTalk under "Cootees"
Hopefully I can get the tranny or my bank can stop the payment somehow.

Good luck. Paypal dispute resolution sucks. Even if you win all they have to do is to take the money out and you get nothing.
I don't think they even cancel the offenders account.
paypal sucks for dispute resolution.

I know ebay covers like 80% of your dispute sometimes. I bought a 14B for 100 and never got it back in july...still havent gotten the money. Paypal said it will be here in mid jan... only 80 bucks.

Good luck man. He hasn't logged on since '05.
As for your money. Even if you win your paypal dispute, if he doesn't have the money in his paypal acct, you won't get crap. Your best bet is to follow through with your bank. Did you contact his local police department to file a report?

I'm following up with my bank and will contact the local police department in Roanoke.
Hopefully my bank can recover the money.

The one time I had someone stiff me with paypal, Paypal pretty much told me to go pound sand. Good luck.

Based on all the quick replies/comments on that ad on DSM Trader, there seems to be a lot of people interested in his part outs.
Why don't you post your own comment on his ad, with a link to this post, to warn the others of this scammer? :D

I posted on DSMTrader and it seems like other people came close to being burned, but luckily didn't buy anything from him. The add that I posted is: http://www.dsmsource.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=8063/
This is his original add: http://www.dsmsource.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=5767 too bad my comment is on the second page!

I tracked down the f'er on vadriven.com and finally got a little bit of a response from him and his b!tch. He also responded to the paypal dispute, if I dont have the money I'll be making a little trip to his local PD.

Its amazing what a little publicity does. Good job. Me thinks your post at vadriven.com hit a little too close to home. Hope it all works out.
