My friends and I are coming up for HIN and I want to get something going and meet a few locals. Last year we couldn't find anything to do afterwards so this year I really want to see the cars you guys have up there.

Yeah did it last year in the GS-T. It's mainly for the road trip.. and White Castle heh.

We actually got lost and ended up at a White Castle in Indiana last year

We are actually planning a trip to Great Lakes Dragway that weekend as well. Its not 100% sure yet. But since its going to be opening week, its going to be free as well! :banana:

Sweet that's what I want to hear :D But how far is this Great Lakes Dragway? I'm only going to be able to go out the night of the 30th when we get to Chicago and then before and after HIN on the 31st. (HIN starts at 5pm ends at midnight although we'll probably leave earlier especially if there's something else to do.)

Maybe if there's time if it's not far I'll go up there with you guys and see what the bitch will do in the quarter since there's only an 1/8th mile track like an hour and a half away from where I live.. we'll see, but I know my friends will want to go to HIN no matter what. :poke:

GLD is about 1 hour and 15 mins from chicago. Don't worry, we dont HAVE to go that weekend, cause its going to be free for the next two weeks as well :D

There's already been a post made, but make an appearance sometime in our ILLINOIS MEETUP THREAD...Its more of a chatroom then a thread to be honest...

We can easily get 10-15 guys to cruise around with one days notice, so I think I can get some people excited and see who wants to take their car out of hiding and show up...

I am pretty sure my new 1g will be ready by then, and lemme tell you, it will have more than a couple new 'toys' installed with the intent of running down Nomie's crew of fwd roll-racing kings....

I'll spread the word, see ya on April Fools day! (Hopefully this isnt a cruel joke for April 1st)

I was gonna get a turbo-back setup and fmic but then I broke my ankle and ended paying over $400 out of pocket cause my insurance sucks. Now my rotors are warped so I got crossdrilled/slotted rotors+ hawk and rofren pads. I figure that when someting brakes, replace it with a performance part! :)

I-80 runs around the QC. This is where it turns into 74, and where youd get back onto 80.

Look at mapquest. Its the dot where you cross from Iowa into Illinois. Davenport, Moline....Thats where I am.

Yeah we're all driving.. at least should be.

Last year it was at about the same time of year, it was chilly but not real bad, probably about perfect for racing.

Right now I am at the higher 13's because i have upgradeed anything really.:( A few of the other guys are the same, in the lower 13's. The SRT-4 is pretty close to 12's.

Well he has some little things ordered for it so I'm not sure what all will be done at the time we come up.. if we even get it running by then, but there's not a whole lot done. Actually it might possibly be the slowest car(even though, yeah, it's not "slow").

Looks like we might be staying in Hammond, IN (where we ended up when we got lost) again like we did last time because it's waaay cheaper than Chicago. We should be leaving Nebraska by 10 or 11am so we'll probably be there around 6. Do you guys want to do something on Friday? We'll probably go to the White Castle in Hammond or something that night then anything else is up for grabs.

I tried posting on here from the hotel but the connection was shitty, but I was there:

BUUUTTT on the way back I was racing my friend, tried to NLTS it in 4th as I passed him (:D ) and there was no 4th to go into. I found 1st, 2nd and 5th worked but not 3rd and 4th. So we kept going and I heard it kind of "clunk" a couple times driving. We get off the interstate and as I'm pulling out off the off-ramp it goes from 5mph to 0 REAL quick.. my friends say my back wheels spun BACKWARDS but the fronts stayed. Now it doesn't go into any gears and it doesn't move at all even though it's in neutral. This is what it looked like the last I saw it:

:( It's now sitting at my Grandma's in Iowa until I can go get it in 2 weeks. Anybody want to take a stabbed at what all is fucked up before I go get it a tear into it?

That straight up sucks! I didn't go cause I had to have my car towed cause my front passenger caliper was siezed and the driver side somehow was bent? Any how I got my car back today, and trying to figure out how to do some stuff so I can get more money to upgrade!
