Maryland DSMers Unite!

I went to a Team Trinity meet this weekend and was a little disappointed with the DSM showing. TT put together a great meet, with many different cars, I was just expecting and little more substance in the DSM crowd.

In fear that the DSM community in or area is slowly dying, I would like to suggest a DSM meet and greet! I know that there are plenty of DSMer in the area, so how about we revive this community. I'd like to pitch a meet at the Dave and Busters in Rockville MD, sometime in early April.

Keep in mind that the point of a meet and greet, is to do just that, MEET AND GREET, no need to spin around the parking lot and please check your egos at the door. I don't mind doing much of the leg work, but I'd like to get a good crowd.

Sounds like a great idea. I am definitely in for that.

I hope that there is enough interest that over the summer we can have something almost regularly being D&B meets, bbqs, etc.

Sunday, April 8th (tentatively).
2pm-begins at Wheaton Regional Park (food, games, etc -Details to come)
6pm-caravan to Rockville Dave and Busters (second Level parking garage)

Since I couldn't make it to the GMU meet, I would be down for this. How far is that from Towson?? Oh, I will just look it up.

Fox from Towson I would gestimate between 30-40 minutes, basically a few exits after you hit 495 west.

I'm new to DSMs as of last year and I know mostly people in philly because of gsx-lex and i would like to get to know a few guys around here so we can get some meets together and all around good times. It would be nice to have a few DSMs come up to the track with us :) .

I'm in Northern Va, so you guys aren't too far from me. Unfortunately, my car is still down (that's why I wasn't at the Mason meet). If it is back together by then, I will definately be there.

After talking to the Montgomery county Parks Planning, they requested a $400 fee for using their facility for our meet (ie reserving a lot). Why reserve a lot you ask, well I did a little scout work this weekend and found that parking on the weekends is hard to find.

I'd decided to move this to the Dave and Buster Parking lot (upper garage towards the back of the lot).
