Alright, so The April dsm meet for the Chi-town area will be on Friday April 20th.
With a rain date of Saturday April 21st


Meeting spot will be Hooters at Woodfield at 8pm. There will be enough parking, there will be enough light, and there will be no problems of getting kicked out.

We can get all the dsms lined up like last year and get a huge row shot.

Ok, new tranny problem. Clutch engagement was fixed but now when I come out of first from a DEAD stop, the car shudders something ugly until it gets into gear. Once there no problems shifting. Going to jack her up between today and tomorrow. All bolts where torqued down to spec....

Also, who all is going to the bbq this sat? I'm looking for a safc for cheap and possibly a turbo. Can someone give me directions from the southside?

rich, i think you have to adjust your tps to the right voltage for the car to idle correctly.

Rich, one of the wires might be 2 grounds going into a single ground wire. Thats all I can think of for 6 wires going to 5...
If you take a picture of the two plugs so i can see what you mean I might be able to figure it out if you havent already decided to just buy another wideband:D

If this is a confusion error, please, some mod PM me and discuss how we can re-open one of the previous threads or re-create a new thread without a dispute...But, if this is the final notice that there will be NO chicago-dsm related threads allowed for now on, I guess there may be some members leaving the site until we find a new home for our big community...

Believe me, we wouldn't waste our time. As soon as the thread is gone the post counts are automatically updated. Same as if I moved any of your threads or threads containing your posts from a forum that accrues post counts to one which doesn't.

This is Events and Get Togethers. It is for discussing and event or specific meet. Not a chat room.

I don't really see the harm in posting to your hearts content in the lounge. Just don't make it a meet thread there as well. I didn't look into your other locked lounge thread but will when I can get some time.

Thank you. My proposition to you is to consider moving our original and classic thread to the lounge, the longest running thread that I know of on dsmtalk. But, if you don't like what you see with the old thread, please allow ME to start up a new Chicago-area DSM thread....Chicago does have other forums and groups for contact info, but IMO, none is closer, quicker, and more personal and popular then the Illinois Meetup threads....I know a member here created the duplicate onto EvoM and it reached 50+ pages in under a month...

Lets keep a positive attitude here...I think that the Mods are getting the point that these threads mean a lot to us and taking them away is destroying a big part of dsmtalk and the dsm community...

When I put my catback on, I couldn't figure out how to take it out. So I decided to rev to like 7k and the silencer just flew out,lol. And as soon as I did that, my car felt so much better.

If he wants to use the N1, then a 2.5" for the first section bend down pipe and a high flow cat and then it shall be bearable and not attract 5-0's attention.

The Events/Get Togethers section is NOT a substitute for having a local DSM board or email list. This section is for posting about SPECIFIC events and get togethers in your area... not talking about 800 different topics or having your own "mini DSMtalk" just for people in your area. Anything not about specific events and get togethers in your area should be discussed in the appropriate forum (i.e. General Tech, Electrical, Suspension, etc.), where ALL DSMtalk members can participate in and learn from the discussion.

For those of you who will undoubtedly question this ruling, precedent has been set on this issue in two previous examples.
