DSM_Aruba 05-28-2007, 05:28 AM Some people have way too much money to spend on custom body kits. I would have taken out that 420A and setup a 4G63 before doing all this custom body work which i.m.o. is too much. I must admit that the body work done looks very profesional.

You mean the one in Tokyo Drift? (assuming that's what F&F TD meant)
The producers bought that car directly from Veilside in Japan for $50,000. It won the 2005 Tokyo Auto Salon for "Best of Entire Show".
So the car cant be the worst thing ever.
And a side note...universal went in and took 6 cans of flat black spray paint and just spray painted the entire interior.
I have the entire article "Sport Compact Car" wrote on the movie.

Not that my opinion matters, but I think it looks decent. Nothing I'd drive, but still professional looking body work, and it has a pretty consistant look to it. I've seen much worse.
And to the person who asked "What's wrong with a 420a?", while it might be a decent engine, you're going to have a hard time arguing with a 4g63 owner. It's a pride thing, and you're on a site mostly dedicated to the 4g6x engine.

The hoods kinda cool. And it doesnt look too bad from straight on front/back. Streamlines not bad, and interior looks nice.... but why would you put so much attention into all of that and not under the hood?? Oh and i cant stand those F&F RX7ish cutouts in the side.

I dont know why at all and the fact that its a 420 kills me but imo if it were a 2g awd and pure black i wouldnt mind the exterior. Interior and under the hood makes me vomit a little!

But everything matches up... the close up of the wheel shows that it's real. The rear makes it look more futuristic if anything. Not my taste, but hey, to each his own.
