I plan on upgrading my turbo soon and am looking at the endless amounts of options availible to me. I am pretty much settled on the tried and true mitsubishi 20g compressor side. On the hotside I am still unsure of what to do. I obviously have 2 options on shaft/wheel combos, a TDO5 wheel with a 15deg+ clip or a TDO6 exhaust wheel w/o a clip. After that if I go with the TDO6 I have to decide on the exhaust housing side 7cm or 8cm. I am leaning strongly towards the TDO6/7cm combo. BUT, here is the kicker, I have a 20g I got for almsot free (traded in a T4/stock hybrid from my RX7 that I had LOTS of trouble with) 20g coming from an unnamed shop. This is a TDO5 7cm turbo with a 15deg clip, I am very temped just to sell this turbo and get the TD06 type. Whats the general opinion?

Next, I am running a Spearco 2-221 FMIC with custom routed piping. On my 16g I have a 2.25" feed to the FMIC and a 2.5" to the throttle body. Should I keep this same combo with the 20g or go all 2.5"?

TIA

You should sell that nasty little turbo to me real cheap and get a TDO6 type. If i were you id at lest try it out and see how you like it if it was almost free. Just my $.02 though.

You didn't say what shape this 20G of yours is in.

I wouldn't get too crazy about the TD06 wheel.. unclipped, I doubt you can tell a difference vs the TD05 clipped 15 degrees.

20G with TD05H 7CM has been tried and true for DSMs.

If you really want the 8CM or TD06 stuff, you may as well sell it and get a green turbo instead of machining your 20G.
