First of all, I'd like to point out how the whole Advanced technical discussion turned into another one of those "why can't I vent into the atmosphere" board. It's sucks. There are like 5 people who knows shit about cars (me excluded), but their advise is being drowned in the pool of childish bullshit.
[/rant]
Anyway, on to my question.I just ran a compression test and the results are weird.
1.- 100 (which is 7.8:1, right?)
2.- 100 (ok)
3.- 120 (this is above 8 on my meter)
4.- 125 (even more ridiculous)
Why do I have higher than stock compression in 2 cylinders? By all logical means it shouldn't be, right? I'm very very curious. Can anyone enlighten my why is it like that?
Thanks.

You know what, I have to apoligize that I didn't check the forum for 2 hours, and someone posted one thread, all the sudden you have to critize. I feel most of the question and discussions on the particular forum are pretty technical. IF you don't think so, don't read it anymore.
As far as the compression, I am hoping it's a 1G.
That compression is very low, what do you mean higher than stock? Stock spec for a 1G is ~ 164.
But generally cylinders 1 and 2 are lower in compression for the main reason that they run lean, since they are at the end of the fuel rail, so they get less fuel pressure, in turn running leaner, which usually leads to lower compression.

I have to say Peter has been doing a great job maintaining the forumn, and I must say this forumn exceeded my expectations for it. Sorry to say but Nitrox, asking what to make of your comp #'s is hardly advanced tech-do your reading.

Did you do a leakdown test?

This is a free country and noone is forcing you to read this board or post here. You just turned it from a BOV venting board into a bitching and whining forum. And since its 3:00am and I'm bored, I'll join in. No this isn't perfect, no it isnt going to be. The moderators cannot patrol this board every waking second. But they did divide the posts up by subject line on a main page so you can pick and choose those that you would like to read. I realize you may compulsivly have to read everyone, but once again the moderators cannot help this.
O and BTW my compression is 161 160 159 157 respectivly, you may want to get a leakdown test. Just a suggestion.

im not trying to be ignorant nor an ass..but people are different in different ways... some people are not as smart as others..u have a gift of knowledge of car thats good..some are not so lucky and they come to this board to maybe learn..but how is anyone ever gonna learn anything if all u do is down them? i mean look what u did to the guy who wants altezza tail lights for a 1 g thats not ur judgement to say they look ugly or not..what is exactly wrong with someone lokin out for other dsm'ers and offering more variety and aftermarket modifications for dsm's? i see nothing wrong with it even thou i think they are ugly too

LOL! Great reply Daniel...:D
Yeah, Nitrox, what is advanced for some isn't advanced to others. That being said, it can't be perfect for everybody all of the time. You did get an answer from guys that I consider very knowledgeable about their DSM's! I'm not even going to discuss damn venting bov threads...
But we are approaching this forum from a "let's see what happens with this thread..." view, unless it is purely not even resembling what could be construed as advanced by anybody. And as another knowledgeable talker pointed out :) to you, your topic doesn't qualify either, IMHO. The compression specs are even in the Chilton's manual.
It's 3:00 am and this thread is locked gentlemen. btw - Thanks for the level headed replies and answering the question even after the rant. ;)
