I searched but to no avail. I'm running 18" inch rims, with 225/40/18 tires (on a '97 GSX).

How much can I lower it without having any clearance issues (ie. knuckle, fenders/lining, tire rub on turns, etc.) ??
Is 1.7" too much??

it all depends on the camber of your wheels yada yada...1.7in will be fine, eventually youll have to roll your fenders

Sorry, forgot to mention I already installed front and rear Ingalls camber kits a while ago.

one and a half would look good...but like its been said if you're trying to max out your drop you'll end up rolling the fenders

sorry for not being in with the lingo, but what do you mean "roll dem fenders"?? like tire rub against the fender wells when turning?

So a 1.7" drop with a 225/40/18 setup should be safe?

You should be ok, but if you get some tire rub then "roll the fenders" aka hammer/shape the fenders to eliminate the tire rub.

It will probally be close. Just take it easy over railroad tracks and bumps.

Get some masking tape and a old baseball bat... lower the car slowly and roll em out..:) *oh heat the area a little bit first this way you dont mess up your paint.*
